Ruger Security-9 9mm Pistol, Black – 3810

I should have ordered a smaller gun. My fault, it’s a little heavy. The gun itself is everything it was advertised to be.

I mounted a lazer to the bottom rail and my gun guy dialed it in for me then I adjusted the iron sights to match those . I love my Secirity 9 by Ruger .

Nice gun, shoots well, if you use a safety on a handgun, you better have a very strong thumb to move this one.

Finally had a chance to take it to the range. Fed 150 rds of cheap range ammo with no issues. Felt good in my hands and shot dead on.

Really feels great in hand. Low recoil and comfortable edc. Keeps zero. Optic ready. Wholly recommended for the price.

I bought this weapon upon the recommendation of a retired army Veteran. He said that it was reLiable, and Would be a good fit

Great gun, I've put many rounds through it without any malfunctions. I added a hogue grip and bought extra 17 round magazines. It fits my hand perfectly and is very easy to handle.

I purchased this through Gun.com as used, excellent condition. Taking delivery, everything was there as described. Just like new. Love this pistol, have bought 2. one in tan and other is black. It is the perfect size for CC and still hold 15 rounds. shoots great. HIghly recommend to anyone

Good weapon, I am a south paw (left handed) so working some of the controls is a little hard but may break in with use. Also I would catch my finger under the bottom of the trigger on recoil, This may be just needs a change of grip on my part. It is good, Shot right out of the box.

Easy to rack, accurate right out of the box, easy to conceal and packs 15 in magazine and 1 in the chamber. Found it’s at home with 115 gr. 124 gr. And 147 grain which many smaller utility handguns won’t handle well.

I used the Ruger Security-9 for qualification in the police academy and it was excellent. Very light weight and very smooth shooting. Seems to have a slight break-in period of about 500 rounds where it jammed once. I've put about 800 rounds through it so far and only had this issue twice in total. Keep it oiled up in the right places and the problem stops. This weapon is also a great every day carry. Usually fits the same holsters as the Glock 19 and 23.

I have about 600 rounds through the security 9 and find it to be a great shooter. The slide is easy to manipulate and trigger has a nice crisp break. Accuracy is good and it is easy to take down for cleaning. I an using this as my everyday carry now. fits nicely into a sherpa holster sized for the glock 19. I also have a Ruger PC carbine which the Security 9 magazines are interchangeable with. Nice to only have to carry 1 type of magazine for both in a SHTF scenario.

Great gun, although it had a break-in period of about 250 rounds, in which it failed to eject, feed, etc. Now I'm at 1,000 rounds or so and it goes bang every time. Love Ruger!

Like some new Firearms ,a break in period is required. I believe that after firing multiple rounds that the pistol will have less malfunctions. Considering the problem in obtaining ammo at this time ,the break in period will take longer. The Ruger Security -9 mm Pistol Black fit & finish is great.

Overall I am happy with it the slide is a little bit tight I will need To work it a lot so I can get a little bit smoother action but for the money I can’t complain

Very smooth shooting pistol. Grip is above average for large hands and fits naturally. Slide takes a minute to get used to but it racks easily and gets better as more rounds pass through. Can’t ask for more in a pistol under $400

PSA great company no issues. The pistol had issues right out of the box. Pistol was returned to Ruger and repaired. Will still buy from PSA and Ruger as sometimes stuff like happens. Ruger customers service top notch.
