Because you can never be too prepared, this Ruger SP101 offers larger-caliber protection in a smaller-framed revolver. Rugged and dependable, this double-action revolver was created with personal protection in mind and constructed with a solid steel frame, while tool-free disassembly and reassembly make for easy maintenance. The cushioned rubber of the peg-style grip frame ensures no metal is exposed in the backstrap, offering comfort and control. The triple-locking cylinder aids in positive alignment for lasting, dependable operation, round after round. Whether for home or personal defense, in the field, or in the woods, the SP101 is a trusted and reliable revolver.

2 years agoI would recommend it.. But I don’t carry it, too heavy for me.. I keep it for a in house protection..

2 years agoSeems well constructed. Has enough heft to make me think recoil will not be a problem. Waiting for the ammo drought to be over so I can get a chance to take it to the range.

2 years agoI had an SP101 with a 2 1/4” barrel and a spur less hammer chambered in 357 Magnum about 20 years ago. I sold it to a friend for a bargain price to streamline my inventory. It’s one of those that I wished I’d kept. Its trigger was smooth and not heavy. Even with its DAO trigger, accurate shots were no problem. It could take stout handloads that cause my 686 trouble. I found its 25 oz weight to be a good compromise between carriability and controllability. Its smooth profile allowed for a snag

2 years agoLove it! I have had the 2.25” 9mm version so I know this 3” .357 won’t disappoint. Really well made, good price & great experience with Sportsman's in Mississippi.

1 year agoI bought the gun online on Sportsman’s Warehouse website, and picked it up about a week later. Aside from having to wait for seven days, the whole buying experience was great: the people there were great, very nice and very helpful. The gun itself looks gorgeous, and it shoots the same. Double action very smooth, and the grips didn’t bother me at all when shooting .357 magnums. I got some Hogue grips for it, but they don’t fit very well despite being specifically for Ruger SP 101. The price of the gun is a little high, I guess you pay for the Ruger name.

1 year agoI'm so glad I finally pulled the trigger on the SP101 3" instead of a full size .357 mag. This little tank has been handling the most powerful bear loads available to me, and is still functioning perfectly. I love that there are many accessories available for this revolver. I added the *MCARBO trigger kit and *Meprolite night site so I can see my gun in my tent at night.

1 year agoRuger SP101 revolvers are definitely worth owing. The double action trigger is smooth and with the weight it can handle 357 magnum rounds. It works well as a carry revolver loaded with 38 spl +p for example. I think the blued finish, with the silver trigger/hammer, and wood grip looks stellar. This was and easy choice for me. Also, Guns.com has a ...Read More Read more about review stating Ruger SP101 357 blued

1 year agoPossibly the smoothest-shooting Ruger mid-size revolver -- The 327 Federal Mag shoots with significantly less recoil than its 357 big bro....Please petition Ruger to re-evaluate their decision to discontinue this model. The 5784 is a 6-round capacity gun with above accuracy in this 3" barrel model....

1 year agoIf you're looking for a lightweight, high capacity 22LR revolver with adjustable sights, ergonomic grips, and a feather-light trigger pull, this is not the gun for you. This particular model was Ruger's earlier entry into the 22LR revolver market. It features a six-shot cylinder, fixed sights, a full length underlug, and weighs in at a chunky two ...Read More Read more about review stating If you're looking for a

1 year agoProduct as described, in excellent condition! Wasn’t sure if the 4.2” barrel would be too much, but I really like the looks and handling of it. Overall, great gun.

1 year agoI am very pleased with my Ruger SP 101. I had one several years back and gave it to my Dad. he would never be caught without it. After deciding that I wanted another one, I found that they were difficult to find. A guy at a sporting goods store suggested to try Guns.com. after going to your web site I was very surprised to see that they not only h...Read More Read more about review stating I am very pleased with

1 year agoMy first Ruger in 25 years. Wife won't get this one! This time I dialed it in. My first was a GP 100 ,38, 4 in. This time it's sp101,357, 3 in. It appears to have been sitting on a shelf for 9 years just waiting for me. Can't tell if it's even been fired. oOoOO, baby, baby!

1 year agoShipped same day ordered, definitely recommend Guns.com, and my first 357 mag., the SP 101 4.2 barrel, fiber optic front sight, beautiful solid revolver.

1 year agoThe Ruger SP101 is a well-made, solid, and accurate revolver. Quality is top notch all around. I just had it to the range today for the first time as I write this and I shot very well with it for my first range session with a new gun, having put 65 full-power.357 rounds through it at distances of 10, 15, and 25 yards. Double action trigger pull is...Read More Read more about review stating Great revolver for experienced shooters.

1 year agoI am impressed with the Ruger SP101 .357 magnum 5 round cylinder and 4.5” barrel, it’s compact size is comfortable for me to hold with the smaller grip and frame that is similar to the S&W model 60 .38 I owned. I have not fired the weapon yet but look forward to taking it to the range.

1 year agoGreat revolver, handles and shoots well, just as you expect a Ruger firearm to do. Guns.com did a great job notifying me when one was in stock. Ordering was quick and easy and I was surprised at how fast it was shipped to the FFL.

1 year agoTop reasons for choosing this revolver... solid construction, great ergos, excellent customer service. The 4 inch barrel offers balance and stability to make each shot hit where you want, with ease. Ruger's SP101 is a real treat to shoot and own.
