That this gun is reliable and will last a lifetime is a given. I have shot over 200 38 special rounds and over 100 of 357 mag. I can't believe how accurate this thing is. I bought it to be my pack gun when I go out west every year and it will do just fine for that purpose. It will also be a great close range deer killer and a great 25-50 yard target pistol. I haven't found a load it doesn't shoot accurately. I'm a very happy customer.

Great gun for a great value. My order arrived at the FFL with a slight manufacture defect. I notified Grab a Gun, and they replaced it no questions asked. I plan on using it as a hiking/ kit gun.

My first revolver...ruger's sp101 with an easily detectable fiber optic front sight. this was my first revolver, and i am far from DISAPPOINTed. this ruger sp101 is extremely accurate given it's fair weight and smaller handle. the fiber optic sight is easy to spot, and gives the shooter confidence in the direction they're aiming at. i recommend practicing with .38 special over .357 magnum BECAUSE the recoil with each .38 special shot is SIGNIFICANTLY more controllable than .357 magnum, … Read More

THIS RUGER REVOLVER IS WICKED NICE AND A GOOD VALUE. I SHOT .38 SPECIALS AND .357 OUT OF IT WITH GREAT ACCURACY. IT WAS A LOT OF FUN TO SHOOT AND LOOKS GORGEOUS. I REALLY LIKE THE HYBRID HANDLE- THE RUBBER GRIP FUNCTIONS WELL AND THE INLAID WOOD ADDS CLASS AND CHARACTER. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Ejector rod wobble excess whats up with that ? The cylinder shake end clamor whats going on there? The only way to insure the cylinder doesn't fall off is to collide with the frame? The cylinder rotation while in lock position(cylinder latch)moves ,I'm sure a shimming would improve on this issue. In short close for an excess of $600.00 MSRP we can do better!!!

I love the gun but I haven’t had a chance to take it out and fire it yet. Too darn hot here in Arizona but will get back once I do

Have only shot it a few time but so far I like it. The grip was way too small for the gun or anyone with large hands which is a shame as I really like the look of the stock grips. Replaced it with a Hogue grip and all is well. This is to be my carry gun while hiking and retrieving game and I really like it so far. More accurate with the 4 inch barrel and not to clunky like with a longer barrel

I'd rate this revolver 5 stars, but the sights are off. Yes, brand new, from the factory, the sights are visibly not aligned and need to be adjusted. This is simply poor finishing quality, and there really is no excuse for it. Otherwise, it's a lovely gun, perfect for my needs.

29 ounces strikes a good balance for Woods Carry. 4" barrel gives good velocity. I do conceal carry it some times but mostly for the Woods. Trigger is heavy from the factory but Wolff springs and polishing gave me a 2.5 lb. single action pull and about 9 lb. Double action. Good solid pistol. It's a keeper.
