This is a great 1911 right out of the box for a reasonable price. I fired about 500 rounds of ball and hollow point with no stoppages. It has a good balance. It uses a short guide rod making it easy to disassemble for maintenance without the need of a tool. The trigger pull is a crisp 5 lbs. The 3 dot sights are good but the white inserts on the rear sight fell out. Luckily, I was able to recover and super glue them back in. The wood grips are beautiful. It comes with a hard case and 2 magazines. Overall, this is a good purchase. The crew at the KCK Cabelas were awesome in helping me with this purchase.

Although I have not fired it yet but the construction plus the fit and feel is beautiful! I can't wait to give it a try.

This is a beautiful gun and feels great in the hand. I bought mine and was eager to shoot it. Mine can me with two 7 round magazines as stated in the description. I loaded and shot two series through each magazine. All four times the last bullet jammed.
Upon inspection of the followers there is a small D shaped protrusion on the top. Why it was designed this way and what function it serves is beyond me. This is what’s catching and jamming the last bullet in the magazine everytime. For the most expensive hand gun I own and one I bought specifically for its reliability jamming every time is not an option. If it was easy to return a handgun I would. I plan on trying my luck with after market magazines to see if that helps. It’s disheartening that the two magazines that came with the pistol are worthless and I’ll have to dish out more money to have a fully functional gun.
