Features:

  • Light double-action and crisp single-action trigger pulls. External hammer is designed with a rounded spur for easy cocking and single-action shooting.
  • The aerospace-grade aluminum slide has serrations on both front and rear for better grip and slide manipulation.
  • The easy-to-use underside Picatinny-style rail features multiple cross slots for variable mounting of most popular accessories.
  • The dovetailed, high-visibility three-dot sight system has a fixed front sight and a rear sight that is both windage and elevation adjustable. A reversible blade allows shooters to select two white dots or a solid black blade.
  • Other SR22 features include a stainless steel replaceable barrel, an ambidextrous manual thumb safety/decocking lever, ambidextrous magazine release, plus a visual inspection port allows for visual confirmation of a loaded or empty chamber.
  • Includes two finger grip extension floorplates that can be added to the magazine for comfort and grip.

Perfect starter handgun if you're trying to introduce someone to shooting. They'll be pretty accurate and enjoy the aiming without having to worry about the recoil. Ran quite a bit of different ammos without much of a problem. Love it!

This gun feels better than any other I own. I wish Ruger made the same design in 9. Perfect point of aim, reliable, easy to clean, eats almost anything. I am a huge fan of a decocker on a pistol. I use it in matches at my local club and do pretty well.

Already having this gun in the 3.5" barrel, I already knew it would be a good one. I do like the longer site radius for target, work at 7 yards point of impact was dead on. Great little 22 pistols, and with CCI and Remington golden bullets, I have had no issues, non plated bullets work fine until it gets very dirty, my guns get cleaned regularly so no issues.

I have bought a few guns from GaG because their shipping is always fast; their service is first rate; they have excellent prices and minimum hassle. Next time I am shopping for a firearm GaG is the first place I'll look.

From the first round fired, I knew I had quality in my hand. It has a good fit even with my large hand. I know I made the right choice with Ruger. I had looked at 22s for about a year before buying.

This is a great pistol for a beginner or an experienced shooter who would like a very accurate and easy to run firearm. Four and a half inch barrel gives much better sight radius than the smaller 3 and 1/2 inch barrel which makes for much more accurate shooting. I'm able to hit 8 inch targets at 50 yards. this pistol is very easy to operate and even my girlfriend loves it. she has a bad shoulder and has trouble racking the slide some of the larger caliber pistols but has no problem with this … Read More

Excellent shooting rimfire handgun. Well pleased. Tempted to get a 3.5” barrel version for casual carry (as an addition).

There weren't enough reviews, so I am making sure to leave mine. This is a great fun and feels amazing in the hand. I did want to note that the bullets look weird in the magazine. Haven't had any issues with the gun though.

While I've paid for this handgun, I left the store with number 18,000 to be approved by the State of Oregon. Yes, 18,000. The gun looks great. I hope to be able to shoot it one day.

I believe this is a decent gun. I bought it because it is the most reliable LR22 according to about 15 sites and YouTube videos. It was always in the top 2. Many reviews stated that it would eat up most ammo. I put about 2000 rounds through it in just over a month and the gun had a few failures to feed. I had switched ammo from Aguila 40 grain super lead and copper point. The copper seem to work better. CCI mini mags worked great. Federal bulk box ammo was not so good, Between the Aguila and

My SR22 had numerous misfires the first time out. I've recleaned it and hope this helps the next time I go.

Great gun, fun to shoot. 2 modifications necessary out of the box to allow it to cycle all kinds of ammo though. First, replacement of the guide rod assembly. Ruger’s is a plastic rod. You can replace with a metal rod from Tandemkross or BrassStacker for under $30. Second, it helps to sand and polish the feed ramp and small lip that is present whe...Read More Read more about review stating Ruger SR22 - fantastic compact 22LR

Have not fired it yet but I like the feel, looks, and quality at this point. Having many Rugers, I have no doubt that it will be a shooter.

Just picked it up after having it shipped to my local gun store. It is a really nice gun. I have shot my daughter’s Ruger SR22 and loved it and it is easy to handle. It is a nice gun for a woman to start shooting if she has never handled a gun before.

Why I bought it: it sat better in my hand comparative to the other Ruger .22s, and I thought the extra inch of barrel and slide (4.5” vs 3.5”) made made it a point better. The good: I have not shot the shorter version, but I am satisfied with the accuracy and pointability. It was dead-nuts reliable with the cheap and medium-range cost .22 ammo out of the box. I was able to get it sighted in for my grip with the adjustable sights. Trigger reset was adequate but not mind

First a foremost this is my first gun, I got it mainly for protection (note: I'm a 5'4" female who weighs about 120 lbs), so when I'm walking alone at night or going on my morning runs it can be slightly scary. But this gun has a great grip and not a lot of push back and the long barrel front site to ensure an accurate hit. It arrived at my gun shop within a wk of me ordering it, and the package included an extra grip , 2 extra magazine feet, 2 mags, and a gun lock!! Overall a great value purchase & when I get another piece I will definitely buy it from Palmetto armory.
