1 year agoNot my first .45 but I was down to only my 1917 Black model Government Property 1911 so I needed a shooter. I always liked Ruger quality and service and I needed the service after the first mag. The pistol went into auto fire mode only two shells each time but not expecting it is an issue. I went through 3 mags called Ruger and they promptly sent me a pre-paid return form and I sent it in. It came back within 2 weeks and has functioned well since then but I am not through breaking it in.

1 year agoBack to the factory for the second time in less than 4 months and 200 rounds. Won't load with ten rounds in mag. Will not close bolt on rounds manually loaded into barrel/open bolt with slide fully pulled back and released. Did this to see if I could at least salvage my dented rounds from shells that got jammed in bolt when loading 10 round mag. Followed Ruger's tech advice on how to do it and it wouldn't with new or slightly dented rounds so they said send the gun and both mags back. BTW did same test with my .40 S&W and it loaded no problem.
