Direct from the famous Ruger Custom Shop is the Ruger Super GP 100 Competition chambered in .357 Magnum and .38 Special. This beast is as powerful as it is accurate. Built with a triple locking cylinder that locks to the frame at the front, rear, and bottom provide a more positive alignment for more dependable operation shot after shot. Polished and optimized internals, a centering boss on the trigger, and centering shims on the hammer produce a smooth double-action trigger pull and a crisp and consistent let-off.
The Super GP100 Competition utilizes the superior action of the Super Redhawk to allow for a two-spring lock work arrangement providing a more even double-action cycle and better ignition. A cold hammer-forged barrel results in ultra-precise rifling that provides exceptional accuracy and longevity. The half-lug 5.50″ sleeve and shroud barrel is contoured for fast manual ejection and also features an 11-degree target crown for competitive-level accuracy.
The Super GP100 Competition is fitted with a replaceable, fiber optic front sight and adjustable rear sight allow for quick target acquisition. To finish off this piece of art, Ruger has coated the frame with a matte black PVD and fitted the firearm with a Hogue hand-finished Hardwood grip.

1 year agoMy example of this revolver has a very smooth but heavy trigger pull in both SA and DA. I was expecting more from a "custom gun". Accuracy is on par with most other Ruger revolvers. Fit and finish are good but the original grips are small and too slick for me.

1 year agoI have shoot 200 rounds in my Super GP 100 . Shot ammo in 357, 38 spl and my reloads. All with no problems. Double action is 9 to 10 lbs. , but is very smooth. Single action around 3lbs, Sights are very good. Gun will probably get better when it is broke in. Not as good as my Colt Officer Match, but close. GrabAGun was the first time I ever bought online. Excellent price and got it in a week.

1 year agoShot several 38 specials and 357s in it. Love the revolver and how accurate it is. Nice trigger pull, especially in SA. Wish I could find a decent holster for it though.

1 year agoJust like any ruger revolver they are built like tanks and look like a revolver should look like. However, the trigger is really gritty during the entire length of the double action trigger pull. This is the sixth Ruger revolver in my collection and the trigger is no different than the regular models. The cut for the moon clips is not compatible with the 8 shot S&W moon clips.
