Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan .454 Casull 2.5" Double-Action Revolver – 5301

I've had mine for over year now and I absolutely love it. I use and IWB pancake holster and I'm able to carry it fully concealed all day. And I have a very bad back. I have Crimson trace laser grips on it now, and 45 Long colt's shoot fine, and 454 casull Is okay up to 250 grain. Since the laser grips don't have padding, anything more than 300 grain will knock you silly. The larger loads are manageable with the stock grip which is very nicely padded. Don't be surprised when everyone within 10 feet of you when you fire this thing jumps, as they will feel it in their chest like a solid punch.

great handgun, heavy but limits recoil when shooting the really heavy loads. Love shooting this weapon

The Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan 454 is an awesome firearm! Be ready for some SERIOUS recoil when you're shooting the 454 casull. I have the 2.5" barrel on mine. The 45 lc is very manageable and accurate. It's a real show stopper a the range. You'll be the envy of all your friends when they see this one.

This is the second time I have purchased this gun. Excellant quality and down right beefy. Superb satin finish. You CAN get use to the recoil of the 454 in this short barrel gun, although I suggest wearing a good pair of shooting gloves. Or go light with the 45 long colt, although it’s like shooting a BB gun in this 44 ounce gun. Also have the 480, 2nd time also and getting ready to get the 44 Alaskan, also the second time around. Also really like buying from Grabagun, my FFL is already on file and they ship 2day UPS that always ends up overnight with my orders. Great place to buy.

This is a big, heavy gun that I carry as a hunting sidearm and off duty use. Sure the 454 rounds pack a punch but the 45LC rounds are nothing in this guy. I love this gun and I feel much more confident out there when I know I have the power I need to defend myself against bears and other big game.

I have not gotten a chance to shoot this gun yet I do enjoy looking at it. Can't wait to get out and fire it soon.

This thing is a monster! Heavy, solid frame, if you run out of bullets you could always hit em with it, but I guarantee anyone in the radius of that blast won’t be around to see a second shot if you’re using this for personal protection. I brought it to the range once before sending it out to Gemini Customs to make some personal changes. I’ve been wanting to get a Ruger Super Redhawk 454 for long time finally got a good deal on Grab A Gun so I got it and it shoots excellent as I live in the mountains and we have bears coming around a lot mostly in early spring and I feel a lot better now

Great gun. The recoil is noticeable but not painful, even with high power loads. It is really lots of fun to shoot, and shooting 45 Colt is much cheaper (though not as fun- it feels like a mild 38spl load in this fairly heavy gun). Great choice for semi-concealed carry in grizzly country.

Great gun love it. Must have strong hands and elbows. Lots of power. Hogue grip works well. Wouldn’t want to shoot it without that grip.

Purchase a 454 Casull, process was extremely easy using their list of FFL shipping points in my area. Their price was also the lowest out there. Good experience all the way around.

More fun than the law allows! I can only shoot about 18 rounds of 454 before my wrist begs for mercy. Shooting 45 LC is almost like shooting a 22 since the gun is so heavy.
