2 years agoBought my wife the 380 when it first came out and she loved it. So I bought the 9 mm as a backup . Great gun. And great customer service! Now, if we only buy 380 and 9 mm ammo at a reasonable price!!

2 years agoSolid CC pistol Bought for wife. She tried several compact pistols. She liked the feel of the SW9 EZ. Big deciding factor was the easy rack. Literally, 2 fingers to chamber a round! Being a lighter weight, it does kick a bit more than a full-size 9. Might have been better to get her the 380. But, 9mm ammo a little easier to find. Took a minute to get used to the grip safety. Only bad: Slide lock is very difficult to release when locked open. Not once has my wife been able to disengage.

2 years agoThe Smith and Wesson 9mm M&P Shield EZ is great. I put 100 rounds through it and experienced zero jams, great accuracy and it was fun to shoot. A winner!

2 years agoFirst time to the range with my EZ and shot nice and I haven’t shot a handgun in a long time 20+ years but with the recent out of control cities near by I needed one ready to go and I’m sure comfortable knowing it’s ready and I’m ready if need be! Semper Fi

1 year agoGreat Gun- easy to handle, way less recoil than the 9mm sub-compacts- but still packs a punch for a M/P-.380 best in class

1 year agoMy friend had this same model chambered in .380 and I was thoroughly impressed when we went to the range and he let me get familiarized with it. When he told me that they came out with a 9mm version, I was sold. This is my first CCP, but my first experience was the Beretta 92S from the military. What I can tell you is that this is a great CCP choice and it's grouping is very good for a sub-compact. My ONLY derogatory mark on this CCP is that it does not come standard with low-light sights. The standard white-dot sights will do you great during daylight hours and/or range time, but you will have to pay $80+ for sights that would make this an effective CCP for when you would actually have to engage a threat, which primarily occurs during night-time/low-light situations. If S&W were to offer this weapon with low-light sights as a standard, I would give it 5-stars as default. Otherwise, this is a great CCP and you will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

1 year agoI bought this gun a few months ago for my wife because she has trouble with racking a traditional slide. She is able to handle this pistol easily.

1 year agoI bought my wife a Shield EZ 9mm in February 2022. She shot it for the first time in May 2022, prior to taking a concealed carry course. She was shooting Winchester standard 9mm 115 gr factory ammo. On her 34th round something hit her in the face, cutting her chin. I took the gun from her, dropped the magazine and cleared the gun. After checking to make sure my wife was ok, I examined the gun. To my horror, the casting that contains the firing pin and extractor (integral to the slide) was missing a piece. The casting failed...clearly a manufacturing defect. I contacted S&W the next day and they emailed me shipping instructions so that I could return the gun to them. I sent the gun to them the following day. They have now had the gun for two weeks. I called them this morning, and was told that it could take up to five weeks for the repair to be completed. I was also told that I could not have the failed part returned to me. That it was going to be "scrapped". I believe that they are concerned about liability. My wife and I are not litigious people...but we are disappointed that S&W is not expediting the repair on her brand new gun. Not great customer service, for sure. I have been a life-long shooter and hunter. I have never seen a gun failure like this. I hope S&W does a better job with lot sampling and testing moving forward.

1 year agoI purchased the S&W Shield 9 ez because of having arthritis in my hands made it very difficult to chamber a round with Every other 9mm semiautomatic hand gun. The S&W ez is extremely easy to chamber and has an exceptionally easy trigger with a light pull. The magazines are able to be loaded without the use of a loader assist devise. I have large hands and this firearm is able to be gripped with a full 3 finger grip. The single draw back is the 8 round magazine.

1 year agoI brought this gun for my 66yrs wife. She has carple tunnel but finds the EZ easy to load, rack & shoot..even with the grip safety.

1 year agoI had the regular MP Shield but found it very difficult to pull back the barrel as I got older. The EZ is the perfect pistol for me.

1 year agoIt’s very EZ to use. One thing that’s kind of disappointing is that bigger magazines are not available for it. You’re stuck using an 8 round mag. You can get a +1 extension but you lose the loading tab.

1 year agoThis was an easy online purchase, then picked up in store. The 9mm Shield EZ was a recommendation by a concealed carry instructor as well as a female friend who had one. It’s definitely EZ (EASY) fun to shoot, easy to hold, easy to fire, easy to dissemble and clean, and easy for a female to rack. It was a great decision for my first purchase!

1 year agoGun is pretty good.. First shot jammed when trying to extract.. After a few cycles it operates like it should.. Every thing works well.. My only complaint is I ordered it without the thumb safety…my wife wanted it so much she didn’t want me to send it back…

1 year agoThe Ez 9mm is perfect for my wife; easy to rack, easy to load mags, fits her hand. After 3x to the range she is consistent at 21 feet. I did have to adjust the rear sight slightly to move poi to the right.

1 year agoI wanted something that I felt comfortable and safe using. I like that this gun has the grip and thumb safety. Once I get more comfortable with this gun, I’ll be buying more but I think this one is great for a beginner. I loved going to the range and shooting - it wasn’t too much for me and I’m 5’3 120lbs.. can’t wait to add more to my collection.

1 year agoThis is my first pistol owned and after reading and watching reviews on this one, i went ahead and pulled the trigger on it. Very pleased with this SW 9mm. Im looking into probably buying the exact same one in a .380 next.

1 year agoNice pistol with a feel between a 9mm and 380, with ballistics similar the the 9mm. Like the overall feel of the pistol, and the first (and only, hence 4*) mag was fairly accurate. After reload, since NOBODY has an aftermarket 30, and addl SW mags are not available yet, second mag was tight. Very pleased. JUST GET SOME MAGS!
