S&W M&P Shield Plus Thumb Safety Optics Ready 9mm Pistol, Black – 13536

Why buy this for 56299 when you can buy the same thing for five four nine nine nine and get four 13rd mags and one ten round mag?

I love this gun - I have the Shield, but the Plus is so much better. Excellent gun, easy to carry, and it's my daily carry weapon. Excellent value for money!!!!

The Shield Plus is definitely a step up from the standard shield. The trigger pull is better, and having a capacity of 13+1 without adding bulk is great.

I am very pleased with this weapon minimal recoil accurate very concealable my daughter and wife have fired it and like it too.

The size is perfect for conceal carry; I wish I would have ordered it to be optic ready other than that it's a great pistol. I suppose I can order an optic ready slide.

Although the product description did not list it, the gun came with both the standard 10 AND the extended 13 capacity clip which is a BONUS! After several clips of ammo, the pistol performed flawlessly, smooth, and has a great balance in my medium to large (male) hands. Buying another one for a backup ????

Reliable pistol and great to shoot. Shipped to my LLC quickly. Only issue was if you get the 13+1 they give you a 10 round mag as your second.

Had the S&W MP shield before getting this one, not much difference in shape and size, except the double stack mag and no manual safety. More options available it so desired, Great gun, with cheap price and refund from S&W you can't go wrong.

A great firearm. Shot flawlessly right out of the box. Super easy to conceal. Very little recoil for such a small barrel and a smooth trigger.. Just ordered the 15rd mag for it that comes with the Equalizer.

I wear an XL glove and this compact 9 fits nicely into my hand. The trigger guard is the perfect size. Despite the grip being slightly smaller than what I expected it is easy to pull out of the holster with finger ready and off the trigger. For me, breakdown is a challenge based on field stripping multiple Glocks. Otherwise excellent weapon.

Well balanced and powerful pistol along with enough ammo lethal force that can be concealed carry everywhere.

Would definitely recommend. The only downfall is that although it is optic ready, it doesn't come with the optics screw kit for various optics.

I like it but realized that the Holosun 407k does not fit without some Dremel work. I also had it pinching my shooting hand superficial radial nerve to my thumb numbing the medial half of my thumb. Otherwise a great shooter.

Shoots straight but the manual safety is so tiny and close to the frame that in an emergency it would hard to find the tiny lever to protect your own life. S&W should take a lesson from the safety lever on the M&P 2.0 or the Sig Sauer P365XL.

Gun came to the FFL relatively quick. Shot it the same day I picked it up. Kept shooting to the left of center and just figured it's because of a small gun. After getting home, I noticed the rear sight was slid way off to the side. That's about my only gripe from the gun as I have to have it re-centered. Also, the slide cut is pretty specific to only a few brands of red dots. Luckily I work in a machine shop, so a shim plate isn't hard to make to get other sight options. Ended up getting a

In terms of value, ergonomics, capacity, and safety, I can't think of a better choice than the Shield +. Somehow with its thin profile, it still feels full in your hands unlike most of the micro compact options out there. With the included 13 round extended mag, it makes this little shooter range worthy. The safety well is a bit toothy, but it's nothing a little sanding can't fix. I trust it enough for it to be my daily carry.

This particular mdl# comes with Tritium front and rear standard as well as the optics cut. The price after the current $50 rebate is a great deal. $549 ain't bad either. I paid the full mfg $600 in January 2022n for mine. Ouch!

The pistol is generally a great gun, but I hate the trigger. There is little slack and the break is nice and clean, but it goes to crap after that. Very rough and a miserable reset. I have an original Performance Center Shield and absolutely love the trigger on it, but this is nothing like it. I don’t care for the flat face of it either.
