2 years agoFirst time gun owner and love the snappiness. Compared to a g26 I felt less recoil. Try the both out at the range before you purchase. Add the SHR9 Rail Adapter and it looks like something out of Blade Runner. Also helps with your finger placement. I like the safety features as well.

1 year agoShot my 1st 100 rounds through this thing this weekend. It fits perfectly in my hand with the 8 round magazine inserted and my pinky finger ends up underneath with the 7 round magazine. With either one it was accurate. I bought this as a potential concealed carry so the thumb safety was a plus for me. You may want to buy a couple more mags cuz reloading after every 15 shots was annoying. Will probably get an Armalaser for it. Speaking of concealed carry....this is technically smaller

1 year agoIts small so expect the performance of a smaller framed weapon. Im very impressed with the accuracy of such a short barrel.

1 year agoFirst time at the range today and it it performed great for a smaller version of the M&P 9mm. One nusance I need to deal with is that the spring in the magazine seems very stiff which makes loading difficult.

1 year agoGreat size for a CCW. Stock trigger is a little crunchy but it's an easy upgrade. Quick and easy field strip.

1 year agoI really like feel of M&P Shield 9mm, and yes I did enhanced my grip by putting on Talon Grip. Took it to range no jams handled nicely.

1 year agoLove this gun. Tried to get it when Sportsman's had it for $399 back in Sept 2021. Bought for $440. Feels great in-hand and conceals very well.

1 year agoThere are only a few lightweight 9mm on the CA roster. This is one and is my EDC for CCW. Shoots exceptionally flat. Trigger is a bit rough but can be improved with some minimal gunsmithing...

1 year agoComfortable and accurate. Wish it had two 8 round mags. The 7 isn't comfortable for the pinky. Overall though, great gun.

1 year agoThis pistol might be one of the most common semi auto firearms in circulation and for a reason. While not the flashiest or the best capacity, this pistol is reliable and accurate enough at an affordable price which makes it an amazing car pistol, nightstand firearm, or carry pistol. While I carry a Sig P365 for the 12 rd capacity, I would also fee...Read More Read more about review stating Work Horse

1 year agoThe M&P 9 Shield works as well as my full size 9mm. I've only had one range outing with it-my observations: grip is a little small for my hands, recoil is the same as my full size 9mm, accuracy was off but that may be either to my first using it or the sights need adjustment, and other than those 2 issues the gun works well. The gun does leave...Read More Read more about review stating Overall a good gun and value

1 year agoI finally bought my first concealed carry weapon. I am glad I tried several at two different ranges and this fit me well. I have small hands. It handles well. It is a good weight. Easy to handle.

1 year agoThis pistol is an excellent pick - if you live in California. Otherwise there are better S&W choices, more updated pistols - M&P Plus...better trigger, larger mag capacity, better grip etc. Guns.com was excellent in their service. It was easy to order, I received email updates on my order status, price was great.

1 year agothis is a very nice compact pistol shots straight right of the box, the only downside to it is it is extremely hard to rack especially if you take it down to clean it. Guess my age is catching up to me but if y u are older you might consider the9ez if available instead. I have mine on the market now.

1 year agoIt is much harder for my wife to pull back the slide than I was led to believe. I purchased it for her personal use. Do you have any suggestions?

1 year agoFirst off, the few bad/annoying things. I have the NON-CA version, which has a viewport, not a Loaded Indicator. Personally I like a protrusion-type indicator, so you can have a tactile feel and easily visible warning/confirmation. Viewport obviously prone to the occasional dust/dirt intrusion. Not a big deal, but if you had to check in the dark, you pretty much HAVE to press check. This brings me to the second small gripe. No form of front serrations or texturing. Slide takes a WHILE to get
