Possibly the most rigorously tested pistol ever developed, the new SAR9 endured 130 degree baking to simulate desert conditions, -50 degree for the arctic, salt fog, high altitude, 24 hr of rain, solar radiation, fouling, drop tests and 150000 round of live fire in the factory. Police later ran their own test that included 50000 rounds. Finally, a NATO test against major manufacturers from Austria, German and the U.S. ran 90000 rounds with the SAR9 the clear winner. However, the SAR9 has more to offer than just toughness and reliability. The lightweight polymer framed, striker fired, 9mm, SAR9 points naturally and is a pleasure to shoot. With a choice of three insertable back straps to customize fit, a low barrel axes to grip ratio to lessen muzzle climb and 20 degree grip angle providing superior control and fast second shot recovery accuracy is built in. Couple these features with a safety trigger that is smoother than a double action revolver and the SAR9 becomes the perfect carry-pistol when you want a round in the chamber.

1 year agoEverything about the SAR9 is top quality. It's well built, feels great in hand, and it is fun to shoot. I've run 500 rounds through mine, all different ammo brands, and not a single jam. The clip springs are ridiculously tight, so loading requires the included speed-loader device if you don't have kung fu thumbs. You don't always get what you pay for with guns, but I expected to pay a lot more to get the quality I found in this one. Strong recommend.

1 year agoAside from it firing on safety I like it. Light weight. Easy to handle. All the extras it comes with are a bonus.

1 year agoAdmittedly I dont have a lot to compare to, but for a new gun owner as a first gun it has been excellent. It feels good, responsive and solid. I feel like I get good feedback with each shot, and each time out it becomes better and easier to shoot.

1 year agoGot one in November, went to the range and practiced. Great grip as it comes (medium). Cleaned it and lightly lubed before use. Shot 3, 5 and 10 yd targets, all in 2 inch groups for 3 & 5 yds and 4 " at 10 yd without much effort. Dropped the clip twice while shoot due to my hand placement. Smooth operating, low recoil, nice 4.4" barrel.
