I only bought this gun because I wanted to see if all the hype I've heard about Savage rifle's accuracy was true, and the fact that it was on sale for a great price. Suffice to say I'm very happy with my purchase. I added a Vortex Strike Eagle long range scope and took it out to my local gun club. After getting the gun on paper, then in the bullseye I put up a new target. I hit 9 for 9 on the bullseye with all nine holes touching. I was amazed. I own a very nice 6.5 cm with a Leupold scope and I have to admit that this gun shoots better (at half the price).

Had this rifle for 3 months and put the new Vortex 5-25 Strike Eagle on it. Shooting 1/2 MOA or better with my ELDX 108 reloads. It’s heavy so definitely a range gun or off the truck gun

This rifle was less than .4 MOA out of the box. I'm using 140 grain Sierra's over 39 grains of H4350 in Lapua small primer brass. In the on-line information the 20MOA rail is not mentioned, but it's there and a welcome and unexpected addition. The trigger is adjusted down to an even pound and works great. I looked at a Covenant 7 3x - 21x FFP scope while waiting for the transfer paperwork. Liked it and bought it. I'm using this scope on the rifle even though I already own a much more expensive alternative.

Specs say muzzle threaded 5/8 x 24 the rifle I received was 1/2" thread so wasted money on the muzzle break as was wrong size. Not fired yet. ( .223 model.) Will update review when fired and check accuracy.

This is my first rifle getting into long range precision shooting. Great price and my experience so far has been fantastic. Think I might be hooked..

This is the best rifle that money can buy for 600$ if you’re looking for accuracy. I consistently get .5 inch or less groups at 100 yards with the right ammo (175gr stuff). I have it paired with a vortex diamond back 6-24 scope and have shot under moa out to 500 yards with it consistently. I would recommend this rifle any day.

Bought this rifle last year and shoots under 1/2" groups with reloads easily! Very accurate rifle. down side- Too heavy for hunting but great for long distance shooting

Bought it in 308 a few years ago and topped it with a Vortex Viper pst 6-24x50. It shoots sub MOA at 100 yards effortlessly with factory ammo. I just ordered a second one in 6.5 Creedmoor. I now hand load ammo and can’t wait to see what they can do with my custom loads!

The lands close to the muzzle had deep perpendicular groves in them from what I imagine would have been caused while being chucked into a machine. One of the lands looked like it it was roughly ground down from the groove to the crow , likely from being pulled off from whatever it was indicated to. New unfired brass I full length sized was sometimes hard to close a bolt on. Low to moderate hand loads sheared brass off the case head and painted the bolt face with brass like I have never seen. I assume headspace was set too tight. I got rid of it, was unimpressed. Random initial load development did yield 3/4 to 1 inch results at 100 yards. I did wonder what a tight fitting full house factory charge would result with. The aluminum rail on the accustock had a burr on each side that scratched the finish off the action. Overall, very unimpressed with fit and finish, sold it.

I bought this rifle and put a Blackhound 4x14x 44 tactical scope and a Hawkeye cheek riser on it. I made a load with LC Match Brass, CCI 200 primers, IMR 3031 and SMK 168 gr. BTHP that 4 shots fit into .062” I’m completely satisfied with my new Savage Rifle.

I picked my 10T-SR (in 6.5 Creedmoor) up about a year ago, and like it a lot, but I definitely don't love it. After finding some ammo it likes it's shooting sub MOA groups, but the action is about as smooth as driving off-road with square wheels on a jeep. I've never had issues like that with my Remington or Ruger, and honestly thought something was horribly wrong with the gun the first time I put some snap-caps in it to work on cycling the bolt. I don't necessarily want to spend hundreds at a gun smith to hopefully make it right, so I've just dealt with it. I'd consider buying one again, but I'd want to be sure it was in store next time so I could see how it felt first. I bought mine at the height of the lock-down, so I didn't get to put my hands on it until after I picked it up from a closed store.

I got the last .308 in Canada 3 months ago. Heavy barrel contrary to the description. Bottom bolt release. Added bi pod and cadex cheek riser, vortex scope with bubble level. Took everything apart and cleaned all parts and torqued it all back down. 120 rounds later of multiple brands and grains. Most around moa. Some match ammo sub moa. But settled on 175 grains of federal premium sgk bthp. 1/2 moa later and banging steel out to 400 yards with little effort. Exploding milk jugs at 700 yards as long as I do my part. Strelok is a huge help to get me on target and a spotting scope to record my hits. 12x scope doesn't let me see hits at that distance. 24x much needed upgrade. Not bad for factory ammo. Trigger is great. Bolt operates smooth. I dont mind the magazine as I load singles from the top anyways. Hunting is a different story, but with this set up your only gonna need one round anyways. Yup she's heavy, so lift weights if wanna carry it in the bush with snow up to you knees.

Absolute worst rifle that I ever bought! Sent back to Savage for second time. How about a refund or different rifle?

I purchased this rifle last year, and it's been an accurate shooter ever since. However, the action is finished so poorly in mine that it feels like there's sand paper in it, which makes cycling the bolt a chore compared to my other rifles of a similar price. I used some lapping compound and cycled it about 300 times over a couple days, which helped a little, but it's still not nearly as smooth as my Remington or Ruger. I'm guessing from reading the other reviews that this isn't a common flaw, so you might luck out and get a gun that doesn't have this issue... If I would have been able to hold the gun before I bought it, I would have set it back down and walked away. I had to order it because of Covid, so the first time I cycled it was when I got it home. Other than that one finish issue it's been a great gun, and shoots tight groups with the right ammo.

I bought the 10T-SR in 308Win a couple days before the deer hunting weeks. Put my spare Bushnell Forge 2.5x15-50 scope on it and shoot 3 Core-Lokt 180gr. to dial-in @100yds. I kill a 6pts deer last weekend. Rifle is great overall. Heavy barrel with threaded end is great to add a muzzle brake since silencer is prohibited in Canada but the 308 doesn't have much recoil. Stock pad is very soft and absorb all the recoil. Thrigger feels great. 4 rounds mag +1 in the chamber is good for hunting. Comes with 20moa scope rail. The only complain I have for this rifle is that the bolt feels like it needs to be polished to slide freely. It will eventually smooth out great after a couple rounds. Overall: great rifle for the price!!!

After a proper break in, with my reloads, this rifle shoots sub 1/2moa. I bought it on sale and am super happy with it!

I've got the 22-250 and I've finally found my load and in 9 shots shooting 1-5/8" at 200yds but if you throw out one 8 shots in 1-1/4" with load #318. The only issue is you have to pull the bolt back fairly fast or the case will not pull out well and many times will just be sitting in the breach instead of exiting.

Bought this rifle as a 308 build and so glad I did, after a proper break in I was able to shoot a clover with some 168gr pmc xtac, when I switched to the sako 175 gr percision I shot three bullets in THE SAME HOLE

If you are looking to get into precision shooting without spending a ton of money this rifle isn't bad for the price. It's accurate enough and gets the job done.. It's weak point is the action for sure, Other rifles in this price bracket have better actions and the bolt just somehow feels cheap. It's strong point is the trigger. It's at least as good as other competitors like the Ruger American - if not better. If you can, I'd suggest saving up and spending a bit more money for something that will have a much better build quality, especially if you want to buy a rifle that will last you a long time. Overall it's not bad to get into the sport, but It'll leave you wanting something a bit nicer with some better features.
