1 year agoI purchased this rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor approximately a month ago. I have added a Bushnell Forge 4.5-27x50 scope. This is an awesome setup. At approximately 300 yards this rifle is shooting 3/4 inch groups. The recoil is very mild and it shoots like a dream. I considered other brands, but am so glad I picked the Savage with the accuracy-trigger.

1 year agoSo far I’ve shot 400 rounds with this rifle and it shoots like a dream. Attached a bipod and a vortex strike eagle 5-25 56mm. I’ve shot up to 770 yards so far and this rifle makes it so easy. I just have to find a longer spot to put this thing to 1km plus test. It’s a little heavy so not best for hauling through the wood. Bolts a little stiff at the start but after a little bit it turns smooth like butter. highly recommend buying this rifle

1 year agoSurprisingly less recoil than I was expecting. I put a Vortex Diamond Back Tactical on it and was zeroed in with 3 rounds at 50 yards. Then we moved to 250 yards and zero was still good. Need to open up somewhere over 500+ yards to really see it blossom.

1 year agoI’m extremely happy with the accuracy of this rifle. I had a hard time to decide if I should buy this or the tikka tac a 1. Decided not to spend the extra $1000 on the tikka and went with the savage 110 precision in 6.5 cm. So far it hits the Mark at 450 yards with ease. My only complaint is the sloppy bolt. It’s not silky smooth like the tikka but I’ve had no issues ejecting shells like some people have in other reviews. I’d recommend this rifle, it’s bolt is not a deal breaker for me . The accuracy is superb. Hope this helps.

1 year agoI bought this rifle in 2021 and sold it a year later (6.5 caliber). I upgraded the extractor spring, the extractor pin, the bolt body (with a fluted PTG bolt), and I put a folding stock on it. I tried hard to like this rifle and lost a lot of money on the sale, but I'm still glad I ditched it. Replacing the extractor components helped a lot with ejection of brass, but in the end the sticky slop of the bolt made me angry every time I went shooting. A sloppy bolt is fine if it still runs smoothly. The savage is really bad for this. You could add as much lubrication as you want to the bolt and it would still catch and stick as you try to cycle. I HATED that. It catches dry, it catches oiled, it catches greased. Ruger and Tikka are SO much better for the bolt feel. This gun shoots really well. Grouping is good. But if you shoot to relax, I wouldn't recommend this. Savage needs to fix their problems.

1 year agoI like everything thing about this gun except you sent me a left handed gun which I did not notice until after I put my new Nightforce scope on it. It took me a couple of weeks to find ammo to feed it and I will sight it in this Thursday and if it shoots as good as it looks I will have a real winner.
