Savage 301 Turkey Single-Shot Shotgun – .410 Bore – Mossy Oak Obsession/Black

Awesome little turkey gun. I paired it with a truglo red dot, and a Carlson TSS choke. Dropped a gobbler in its tracks at 40 yards last week!

I bought this gun a few months ago and wanted to have some time with it before firing off a review. Great gun for the money!! I bought this gun to take my nephews out turkey hunting as they have never shot before. I figured a single shot in 410 would be a good start. This gun is a tac driver with TSS loads out to 40 yards. Honestly it could have probably gone farther but that would be the max I would shoot and for them we are looking at 30 yards and in. I bought HERTERS TSS Loads and it shot great. Even with regular Winchester Turkey loads it shot good up to 20 yards. I mounted a Bushnell red dot and this gun is awesome. I would highly recommend if you're looking for cheaper gun and I would say I will also use it because I liked it that much. I may buy a 20 gauge for myself down the road. Happy Hunting!!

Great little gun. I hoping this will help get my son into turkey hunting. Shoots great, nice and lightweight but doesn’t kick like mule. Good for us old school hunters who have taken a lot toms with everything else. You should add this to the arsenal. Kids, women and smaller hunters will like this gun. Just get them close like turkey hunting should be. 40 yards and under not a problem.

This is a great shotgun. Single-shot, break action .410. It’s lightweight and small enough to teach your kids with. It’s also cool enough that I’ve got no issue taking it into the Turkey woods as an adult. Camo pattern is gorgeous, it shoots incredible groups. Bought it to teach the kids, I’ll probably use it more than them because it’s so great.

Live this 410. Doesn't eject the cartridge 30% of the time with break action. I mounted with a 2x magnified red dot. Turkey killing machine!

Patterns well with 9 shot TSS at 40 yards. After market choke tube. Hammer extension. Great optics. Light weight, carries, handles well. Looking forward to next year’s season.

Amazing shotgun patterned Amazing at 40 yards with the 3" TSS 1 1/2 once. My son got a nice tom. And I got a tom at 50 yards and a nice jake the following day. Couldn't be happier. Top the gunboff with a low profile red dot. Can't wait for next year. Thanks for a grray firearm.

Great turkey gun! I topped it with a vortex venom and used the tss loads. Ended with with a nice bird this spring!

Packing/box was pretty chincy, but the shotgun is light and points nice. Put a Bushnell red dot on it and had it ready to hunt in 4 shots. As always, Grabagun service was good. This is a nice little shotgun for a very reasonable price.

Very simple gun. Lightweight, but well-made. Accurate. Fun to shoot for anyone. Only drawback is difficulty finding ammo.

Great little .410, only problem I had is the "sights" under the rail if you try to shoot it with just using the rear "sight" (its more like a nitch) and bead, shot very low. Other than that, good little turkey gun, stock choke works great with the right tss load!

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my husband and I know he will love it! I am very excited to see him open it!

Great gun so far, paired it with a TruGlo Red dot sight, seems like the perfect entry gun for my daughter and honestly seems like one I would enjoy to use myself!

Great little gun. I put a 2 to 7 vortex on it and shooting it with regular lead six shot I get a nice tight pattern at 25 yards. Trigger is a little rough but that is to be expected. I think maximum of range with lead shot is probably 25 to 30 yards. My husband liked it so much he bought himself one

Very good patern with EF Choke killed a long beard w/ #4's @ 56steps. I would recommend this gun to any hunter, or an older hunter who just don't like being kicked. Very low recoil and extremely accurate.

Great little gun!!! Price can’t be beat!!! I added a bushnell red dot sight and a quake claw sling!! Shooting federal tss 9 shot. Flattened a long beard at 35 yards a few weeks ago!! Would definitely recommend!!

I Bought it my granddaughter to turkey hunt. I took it on the first day of turkey season and shot a nice Tom at 25 yards. It is a really nice light gun. I put a red dot scope on it . I’ll use next season, if my granddaughter lets me. She hasn’t got a shot yet, but when she , she will get it.
