Carnivores are crushed. Our Apex Predator XP pairs a Model 110 rifle with a 4-12x44mm Vortex Crossfire II scope that comes mounted, bore-sighted and ready to hunt. The platform provides accuracy and adjustability like no other package predator rifle thanks to the Savage AccuTrigger, thread-in head spacing, floating bolt head and precision button-rifled heavy barrel. Plus, the length-of-pull of its synthetic Mossy Oak camo stock can be easily adjusted to fit any hunter for better comfort and consistency. The Crossfire II’s Dead-Hold BDC reticle makes it easy to place accurate shots at extended range, and the optic is securely mounted to a one-piece EGW 0 MOA rail.

1 year agoCabelas came thru and corrected the wrong scope issue. Worked up a load after barrel break in, 35.5 grains Imr 4895 with 55gr hornady vmax. Consistently shoots 1 ragged hole groups at 100 yards. Less than 1/2 inch, amazing accuracy.

1 year agoI bought this in .308 about a month ago and I absolutely love it. I’ve been shooting 1” groups at 100yds (factory ammo) with it which is pretty darn good for me. I love the heavy, fluted, threaded barrel. The vortex 4-12 x 44 is a very nice, clear optic . I put a vg6 precision gamma muzzle break on the end and it looks sweet. Mine came with a jewelled bolt instead of the black bolt shown in the picture which doesn’t really bother me. Also it is not the accustock even though it came with an “accustock” sticker on it. It has a rather flimsy stock if you’re shooting with a bi-pod you may need to reinforce the forend to keep the barrel from rubbing against the stock. Overall a solid rifle and my new favourite for the range and hunting. Can’t go wrong with a savage....would have 5 starts if the stock wasn’t so cheap.

1 year agoI bought this 3-4 months ago . Shot around 40-50 Hornady 143g . Took two shots to sight in . Third went threw the second shot . At 100 yds Gun works great and factory scope but wish the Camo stock was a little better built . Seems a little weak to me for the price . Other then that it would get a 5 star rating . because of stock 4 stars . Great gun tho !

1 year agoI bought this rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor in Dec of 2019. The scope was poorly mounted and cost me some not inexpensive rounds trying to zero it. There is NO reason the scope should be installed poorly. Savage get your crap together on this! Finally remounted the scope myself and all is good. Loses one star for the crappy scope installation but otherwise the rifle is great. Very accurate. The trigger is amazing. A bit heavy but that's the price of the bull barrel. I recommend this rifle.

1 year agoFirst of all, shame on me for not being diligent in my inspections. Bought this rifle chambered in 22-250 for my birthday last year. Took it to the range the next day and proceeded with my own break in process. The rifle was all over the map at 100. Changed the scope. No change. Started checking the rifle over a little more thoroughly only to find out the rifling in the last inch of the barrel was work right down to the point of near non existence. This is my second savage rifle that I’ve wasted money on. Save yourself the trouble, spend a couple hundred bucks more and buy a tikka. I’ve bought three Tikka rifles since, 30-06 22-25 and 7mm RM, all sub moa cloverleafs at 100yds out of the box.

1 year agoI've had this rifle in .308 for about a year now and have put roughly 300 rounds through it. When I first bought the rifle the scope base wasn't tightened properly. I wasted a few boxes of ammo before I figured out what the problem was. Aside from that, I love this rifle and scope package. It easily shoots 1 MOA with factory ammo. You could choose to add a muzzle brake, but the 20'' barrel is very "pointable" and nice for hiking it around in thick brush. The heavy profile with fluting is absolutely beautiful as well. I'm not a huge fan of pencil thin barrels. I wish it had a metal trigger guard, but that's about the only thing I would change.

1 year agoOk t arrived a week late. Looked great. Took it to shoot. Would not extract. Ship to savage at my cost. They made repairs and shipped back. Customer service for Savage was great. Cabela's not so much. And the call Savage, not our problem attitude is unacceptable. Btw, this is the second lemon I've received from Cabela's. There will not be a third.

1 year agoI researched different options for a target range rifle and landed on this model. I am very happy with the purchase. For the price, the gun and optics are a nice value. It's a lot of fun to shoot especially at longer yardage. Right out of the box, the gun performed nicely. I sighted the scope at 100 yards, needing a minor adjustment of about 3". After that, I was able to put tight groupings right on the money at 100 and 200 yards. The wind and weather picked up so I did not get a chance to

1 year agoHaven't fired it yet. Rounds are hard to get and expensive right now. Plan to zero soon as rainy weather checks up. Looks exactly as expected.
