Great rifle. Very light and accurate. I installed a muzzle brake on it and it recoils less feeling than my .243 The accustock does NOT come with the aluminum bedding running through the stock but I can’t tell the difference in accuracy I can’t be happier with it.

I bought this this year and I'm not impressed. Took me almost three boxes of varios shells to sight in until I found I could only shoot 2 shots and the 3rd would be a flyer every time. I couldn't adjust the Acu-trigger and had to send the gun back to Savage. The acu stock is a nice concept but the gun is very heavy and was hard to get onto two different deer and take a shot. Missed opportunity. I'll be looking at a Thompson Center or Winchester and sell this one. The accuracy was not impressive.

Purchased 28 nosler. After proper brake in and using 175 gr nosler ammo, this gun will shoot less than 1MOA and most groups less than 1/2 MOA. I do own guns that cost 2 to 3 times as much and shoot half as good.

I special ordered this gun in a 6.5 Creedmoor. Finally had a chance to get it to the range. Zeroed in at 200 yards using Hornady 143 gr ELDX. Love the performance. I have several Savages. This by far my favorite.

I bought the ultralite after walking in to Cabelas to look at a CA Ridgeline. This seems like a good buy after comparing. The CA is a great gun, but I liked the idea of the adjustable stock with the Savage. The adjustability has already shown its use as I was able to adjust to what is very comfortable to me. The problem that I had was that the pieces for the adjustments didn't come in the box that Cabelas had. The salesman said that they don't come in the box. That is incorrect and apparently he didn't want to go look. I contacted Savage as soon as I got home from my purchase and they took my info to send me the kit for free with no questions asked. It arrived in a few days and all was good. This rifle really is light weight and shoots much better than I could have ever hoped. At least up to the 200 yards that I have taken it to. This should be a good rifle to take on some hunting trips that require more walking/hiking around because of the weight. I am using Talley rings (sku 750719 for high 30mm) as they are the ring and base as a single piece. They also come with the 8-40 screws that many of the rings/mounts don't have. I originally bought a dnz one piece mount, but the screws don't fit the bigger holes in this receiver and they charge additional to drill out the mounts to the correct size. The accutrigger is a plus for me and is the same reliable trigger as all other accutriggers. The barrel is threaded if you want to attach a device. The CA Ridgeline does come with a muzzle brake, but I bought a 6.5 creedmoor so I don't need a brake. Really a good buy at even the msrp, but it's always lower making it a much better deal.

I am very happy with the purchase and performance of the rifle itself once it was all setup. However, I did have issues with knowledgeable Bass Pro Shop staff and inventory to support the proper scope mounting bases. Finding the one that would line-up to the holes was not the problem, but the hardware did not fit on 3 separate occasions. I ended up purchasing my final picatinny scope base through EGW. So 5 stars for the rifle and 3 stars for the knowledge and support of the Bass Pro Shop's crew resulted in a 4-star final review score.

Mounted a vortex scope on this 6.5 . Did a bore sight through the barrel and put 3 in a spot the size of a dime at 25 yards 1 inch off from bullseye..Adjusted then put 3 in the size of a dime @ 50 yards. Range was wet so did not use the 100-200 range. Went hog hunting and broke the hogs spine at 125 yards. This gun beat my seekins precision.

I was looking for a tikka t3x lite but happened upon a great deal on one of these and am super glad I did. I love it! Very accurate, very light.

I recently bought this Savage Ultralight in 6.5 Creedmore. She absolutely loves it. Light weight, no recoil, accurate, & deadly.

When I peeled the savage sticker off of the stock the finish came with it, then while taking pictures to send to savage the front sling stuff fell out on the ground stripped and galleries. This is not a cheap rifle and they should do better. If I scratch it or break it that's on me. This thing literally starting falling apart before I put the bolt in it

I wanted a light weight rifle for a black bear hunt this fall and didn't want to yet another caliber to the many I've already got. So I chose the 308 Win. After the prescribed break in with 150 grain bullets, I switched to handloaded 180 Accubond bullets I'll be using on the hunt. Testing with 2 powders I got an amazing 3 shot group! Practically benchrest accuracy at 100 yards :)

This thing shoots cheap Norma hunting ammo into 3/4moa all day and weighs nothing. The trigger is also fantastic. Worth twice the price.

Pro- lightweight proof barrel Cons- literally every other aspect of the gun. The action is probably the worst I own. Gritty and gets hung up constantly because of the slop. The stock is very cheap plastic and not sturdy at all. Basically a $200 gun with a $800 barrel. Save your money and just buy the barrel and put it on a good rifle.

I purchased this rifle in .270 win last spring. My intention was to get it in the fancy new 6.5 PRC, but after looking for ammunition/components and reviewing ballistic performance there was no reason not to go with the 270. Topped with a Leupold VX3-HD it is very light. I've carried it on one sheep hunt so far and am happy with it. Accuracy has been great. The attached picture is typical accuracy with the right load. I've become a believer in the Proof Research barrel. The action is a bit gritty, but it functions as it should. The trigger is really nice. This is the first rifle I've owned with a trigger safety. I thought I would hate it, but it really doesn't bother me. It is nice to have some adjustability in the stock, other than that the best thing I can say about the stock is that I don't feel bad beating the crap out of it.

Bought this as an all around hunting rifle. It's chambered in 280 Ackley. I consistently shoot 1/2 MOA. Because the barrel.is carbon fiber, it cools down fast (for those who go to range). Accutrigger, adjustable cheek and length of pull are good features. My only complaint is the action but it's not terrible. As an owner of a Tikka (butter smooth bolts), the savage is sloppy but not to the point where it's a concern.

I thought this stock was ugly as hell in the photos. I even bought some camo spray paint to give it a sponge job while I was waiting to receive it. Now that I got it the color is kinda growing on me. It is a great gun. I purchased the rifle in 300 wsm. Right at 6.3 before I mounted a scope on it. Thing shoots lights out. First two rounds while breaking in the barrel were touching each other. Also better put a break on it if you plan to put more than 6-10 rounds through it at a time. Kicks like a mule.
