Precision, performance and price have never come together like this. Savage rebuilt the synthetic stock on the AXIS II for improved ergonomics that let any hunter shoot their very best. Like always, the rifle’s user-adjustable AccuTrigger, thread-in headspacing and floating bolt head extract the utmost accuracy from the 22 inches button rifled sporter barrel for the performance of high-end hunting rifles at a fraction of the price.

1 year agoI purchased an Axis ii but received an Axis and had to contact Savage to get the correct trigger sent to a gunsmith and had to pay for installation as they wouldn’t release it to me. That cost me extra money on the purchase.

1 year agoThis rifle is a decent rifle but the forend was touching the barrel (so the barrel is not free floated) and the trigger spring is to stiff making it hard to cycle open. Also, I got this rifle thinking it would feed flat nose bullets from the magazine, but only spritzer bullets cycle from the magazine.
