1 year agoI'm a woman with a smaller frame. So I got this compact sized rifle. Very happy with it. SUPER ACCURATE!!! I shot my antelope from 330 yards on sticks. I can also hit targets 500 yards away at the range. The only thing I didn't like: I had to buy an Extractor/Ejector Kit, because the cases wouldn't eject properly. The cases would just sit inside on top of the magazine. Bought this kit from Kinneys Shooting Supply, and it fixed that problem.

1 year agoThe length of pull is perfect on the compact model and I can upgrade to a full size Savage Axis stock or high quality aftermarket stock when ready. I love the fact that it comes with the AccuTrigger! The recoil of the 6.5 Creedmoor is manageable for her but she taps out after about 12 rounds at the range. Won't be a problem when we're hunting. The action is smooth and the rifle is accurate. The only real downside is that the stock is kind of flimsy. I strengthened the fore end with

1 year agoWhen we that are fun sized ... we need a smaller rifle butt to reach the trigger comfortably and safely. This does it as do the other SAVAGE ARMS COMPACTS.
