1 year agoBought this rifle for squirrel hunting. Honestly, I chose Savage because I couldn’t afford a Ruger 77/17 ($1,000+). This baby shoots as well as or BETTER than the Ruger. Granted, a lot depends on the optics, but the platform places the shots in the same place, every time! I put an older Leupold VX-3 on it and love to combo. The average range was around 100yds and this beauty was knocking them down! Almost no recoil. The bolt was a little stiff at first, but after 500 rds, it is now
