The industry’s safest micro rimfire has come of age – and it’s ready to shoot, right out of the box. The Rascal Target XP comes with a mounted and boresighted 4x32mm scope, as well as a bipod sling swivel stud mount. It’s built for accuracy and adaptability, thanks to a precision hardwood stock, heavy 16 1/8 inches barrel, one-piece Picatinny rail and threaded (1/2-28) muzzle. Like the original Rascal, the single shot rifle cocks by lifting the bolt and unloads easily – without pulling the trigger. The design also builds superior shooting skills thanks to full-size rifle features, including Savage’s user-adjustable AccuTrigger system. The platform offers far better safety, functionality and accuracy than competing designs.

1 year agoI'm a 4H Shooting Sports instructor and this little rifle exceeded my expectations. It's perfect for the smaller kids. It's the same quality as the adult rifles but in a smaller package. Allows for the smaller kids to learn form and trigger control from the beginning. Smooth bolt, light crisp trigger, and super accurate. No better rifle out there for the kids.

1 year agoFirst off, she is a VERY quiet rifle to shoot: people with noise sensitivity or first time shooters, this is a great starter. This is a GREAT first rifle. I'd prefer iron sights, but that's purely my preference. I really should conduct a sound test w/ different types of ammunition and other common everyday noises as a comparison.
