1 year agoVery little recoil. Trigger is amazing. 1" groupings at 100 yards. Stock kind of chintzy, but didn't expect much for the price point. The only reason I give this a 4 and not 5 stars is due to the bolt as it is not smooth. It has a hitch, or hang up, when working it. It is difficult for to operate. All my other Savage rifles have smooth bolts to operate, but this one needs improvement. That said, this is still a great out of the box package!

1 year agoAccurate gun, no kick. Had a jamming issue and a shell not cycle in a hunting situation. Still trying to work out the bugs.

1 year agoi love this rifle. the recoil is moderate like a 223/5.56 but their is no barrel jump when i shoot it. it is a great firearm for states that have a mentor program for introducing into hunting whitetail deer.

1 year agoExactly what I needed for a young beginning shooter. Came as advertised, in and out of the store for quick pick-up. Youngster quickly adapted to the rifle. First time shooter, perfect combination for a novice, and or adults looking to step down a bit in weight and recoil with plenty of range and power.

1 year agoWhen we that are fun sized ... we need a smaller rifle butt to reach the trigger comfortably and safely. This does it as do the other SAVAGE ARMS COMPACTS.
