I am a minor but this is my favorite rifle to shoot. Have not gotten one yet but hopefully will for christmas!

Bought this rifle a week ago after reading all the great reviews. Unfortunately on the first day I took it out I started having extraction issues. Did some research and found out this is a common problem amongst the Savage Mark 2. I have got in contact with Savage and I am hopeful they will fix this issue. The rifle is accurate, the bolt action is smooth, trigger felt good and the price point is great. I am still hopeful for this rifle, once the issues are resolved of course. Definitely would have been a 5 out of 5

The mark11 shot real good. My son only put 50 rounds thru it of federal target. Only problem we had was it didnt extract 4 rounds, they stayed in the barrel when he cycled the bolt but a pocket knife quickly got them out. Maybe ammo, maybe not will find out as we get more use out of it. Accuracy was about 2" moa at 25 yards for him but it's new to him and hes using iron sights right now till we find a good scope. Over all nice gun for the money. Hes gona use it for squirrel hunting. Need to try different ammo in also.

Best bang for your buck Extremely accurate Light weight Super easy to clean Easy to get extra magazines It’s my 3rd mark 2 I use each one for some thing different One is sighted in to shoot only shorts One I let my sons barrow and the last is my go to squirrel and everything gun Extremely happy, tight groups with my leupold 3x9x40

Pretty accurate rifle even with the cheaper ammo. My first 5 shots at 25 yards could be covered up with a dime. Group should tighten up considerably with quality ammo. This firearm seems to be well made and the trigger is exceptional. My only gripe would be that it should have came with 2 magazines instead of just 1.

I bought this for use as a camping/backpacking gun. If i'd had my choice, I would have gone with a Ruger American Rimfire that accepts the far superior 10/22 magazines (more on this in a second), but beggars can't be choosers. Overall it's a good little rifle. The fit and finish could be better, particularly regarding the loose fit of the magazine into the mag well and the subpar retention spring that holds the magazines in, which is cheap stamped metal and is located behind the magazine where … Read More

Accurate, good trigger, but having ejector problems. Get the empty casing out of the chamber, clean it start using it again and not long does not eject empty casing again. Quite frustrating

This 22 is sized for an adult and seems to be good quality. I added a pair of Weaver #24 bases and a 3-9x40 scope and it’s a well balanced rifle. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quality firearm at a reasonable price.

This is a good shooting rifle. I am keyholing at 25 to 30 yards, however, finding the right ammo is not easy. It seems to shoot Club, Remington, Eley really well and subsonic better than standard or high velocity ammo.

I had a few problems out of the box. The mag would dump several rounds at a time. The extractor didn't remove the empty shell cases. These problems are discussed a lot on YouTube. After a call to Savage, I received a new extractor and a new mag. Simple to install. Now the Mark II runs great. This is a very accurate .22 rifle that is cheap and fun to shoot.

I bought this gun in the mark II-gy configuration for my 8 year old son's birthday this past year. I mounted a cheap baraka 3-9x40 on it and holy cow this is the best shooting gun I've ever had, my son and I love shooting this thing it's a tack driver it really loves Winchester 555 bulk and anything else that you can feed it. The only thing that I would say is not it's best quality is it will start to rust very quickly so you need to keep after it and the barrel finish is not smooth on the

Really accurate. But a cheap scope on it and able to hit a rabbit size target at 115 yards consistently. Like a lot of bolt actions it doesn’t like to eject the shell so make sure and oil it up good and clean it well while you break it in.

So far so good - pretty great value. Got it for my wife for Christmas so have only shot it once, but seems accurate and it's light enough for her to shoot a bunch. Put a Feyachi 3-9x40 on it and had it dialed in at 75 yards quick. Action is a little sticky/stiff but I think it will get better with use. Only complaint is that it is a bit difficult to adjust the trigger, but it feels good out of the box so don't think I'd adjust it much anyway. All in all a great simple lightweight and accurate .22 that I think will get us tons of bunnies and squirrels for the stew pot.

I’m really liking this rifle. I’m shooting 1 MOA at 50 yards with 32 year old ammo. I can’t be more pleased. Now it’s just waiting for the ammo price to drop. Whatever it takes!

Great bolt 22lr. Accurate out of the box. Bolt a bit tight at first but is expected. Better with a little oil and working for a period. Mounted scope with see through rings for both close and long range fun.

Great little gun, took it out shooting and they all did great with it. Shot probably 75 rounds through with no misfires and no issues discharging the shells like I’ve seen in other reviews. Excellent value overall.
