I bought this rifle because I wanted an inexpensive 22 for hunting and plinking. Well was I impressed! When I fired the first shot I expected to do a lot of adjusting on the rear sight, but actually the first shot right out of the box hit the bullseye! Even though my eyes are not what they used to be, I'm hitting under 1/2 " at 50 yds with open sights. Where I place that front bead,,,that's where the bullet hits! I'm going to install a scope soon, then I'll be shooting out to 100 plus yds, I cant wait to see the results! I would have given it a 5 star rating but the magazine gave me some trouble. They could deffinitely improve on that. I've owned a lot of 22 rifles in my time but I have to say that this is my favorite hands down. For this price you can't go wrong!!

Good rifle. Accurate espcially with optics. Ive used red dot and scope with the rail notches thats provided and it was great for shooting ducks out out of the air and beaver hunting. Only thing is that when i brought it hunting grouse in winter that it wpuld cock but would click upon pulling trigger. Idk if its something to do with the hammer but other than that itbworked fine. 10 rounds is plenty for a bolt action. Great sights. Stock is a bit too high for my cheek so i added a tasco red dot

Bought for my wife about 6 months ago. Fits her perfect and everything works as it should. Had no experience with the accu-trigger before this and now I want one for myself. Only small issue we had was once in a while it would not eject the spent shell. But once cleaned and oiled it seemed to work pretty good.

Honestly, I don’t understand the reviews where people are having issues with this firearm. It works absolutely flawlessly. I’ve only had 1 failed extract and that was from my friends cheap ammo. If you buy cheap ammo then you will have issues. I use Federal and I’ve never had an issue with it. If you seriously need to cheap out on .22LR ammo then maybe this sport isn’t for you?

I've had this gun for 10 years. Great for varmints and crows. And for the kids to practise with. Never had any issues with it, ejects everytime no matter what ammo I try. It's also very consistent, and accurate. Great .22 Probably one of my most favorite guns

I was excited to receive the Mark II but disappointed when I opened the undamaged box only to find the stock near the trigger is marred. This s was my worry exactly buying online and having product shipped to my home.

Absolutely consistent. No doubt the most reliable .22 bolt in this price range. Very nice to have the lefty bolt option too. Small issue with the factory thread tap for scope mounts but an easy fix. It would've got a 5/5 but for that. Dang near flawless.

Showed up the other day, no scratched, dinged or mangled wood. action is stiff but will smooth over time, had to do some light sanding of the bolt as it was a little rough. Bolt handle has a few marks but doesn’t matter really. Feeds and ejects reliably and the sights and tapped holes are straight and inline with the barrel. Can’t wait to carry this thing in the woods next fall

I got the model with the hardwood stock with iron sights , One of the best things I’ve done to improve my overall shooting is the practice with a 22 . Savage mark two has a design similar to more expensive bolt action rifles . I recommend this rifle

60 years ago,my first rifle was a single shot version of this beauty and little has changed since then.Solid feel, well balanced, very accurate, and exceptional value for the money. The Accutrigger is a wonderful feature and performs exactly as advertised. Also, the fact that is manufactured in Ontario is a bonus if parts or service is ever required.A couple of small gripes: Initially, the action of the bolt was a bit rough but smoothed out after a few hundred rounds. Also, the magazines seem a bit flimsy, however, they work fine and are readily available.Try putting some CCI CB Shorts through this gun...firearm accuracy with virtually no noise whatsoever....instant smiles!! All in all,you cannot go wrong, especially at this price point. Buy a couple of Weaver mounts, slap on a 4X scope and you are ready for some serious plinking and target shooting.

Extremely accurate for the price, emptied 2 boxes of Winchester m22 (1000r) in one sitting off a bipod @200 yds. Got a 2 inch group on a steel plate.

Haven’t even fired it yet. I am super impressed with the look and the quality of it. The wood stock is a bit darker than it looks online. But it is a great looking 22.

I’ve had this gun for over 10 years now. After more than 5 thousand rounds, I’ve had never had a jam, no fail to eject, 1 fail to feed when the clip went bad and never once had a hang fire. Absolutely love this gun!

Shot a friends right handed model with upgraded peep sights and it was amazing. I’ve been waiting over a year now for a left handed model now and am wondering when they’ll be back in stock

I’ve had this rifle since Christmas. Just put a scope on it. Very fun to shoot and accurate. The trigger is light. I would definitely recommend.

I love this gun. I have one without the AccuTrigger and it's fantastic. I got this one for my mom because we have one without the AccuTrigger, and its hard trigger pull is kind of hard on her hands. With this she was shooting sub-MOA groups in no time. Would highly recommend; I'm a Savage owner for life.

I've had 6 or so Savage rifles and love them, but I had several unpleasant surprises with this Mark II. My principal beef is with the front sight. I wanted an open-sight rifle to complement my scoped collection. The front sight on this rifle was obviously off center. I tried to knock it into alignment, but had to punch it out, file down the edges of the sight base, and then hammer it into something like a central position. This is also the first new rifle barrel in my experience that

I have to use a knife to dig them out. Other than that, a nice rifle. Very accurate and easy to handle.

I’m pretty much a handgun guy, but have been started looking at rifles just for plinking, since. i am not a hunter. I have a Ruger 10/22 semiauto and wanted a bolt action as well. Other reviews indicated it was really accurate and the price was right so this is why I bought it. The wood stock has a nice finish, it seems to be balanced pretty well, the trigger is decent, and shooting is accurate enough right now (I still need to work on how I hold it since it is heavier than handguns). I had no
