1 year agoI bought this rifle because of price. I had reservations about a 22 caliber. The first shot quickly changed my mind. It is a great rifle to teach your kids about gun safety, shooting and reponsibility.

1 year agoHas a hard time putting rounds through and scope rails come loose every so often. The only upside is the price

1 year agoAdvertised as having a drilled and tapped receiver for scope mount, my recent purchase did not, just had the dovetail. Purchased anyway and it is in fact a nice shooter and can't beat the price even without the advertised receiver.

1 year agoCan't use cheap low power 22 lr that worked fine in my old Remington Nylon 66. I was using that ammo because it was quiet and didn't scared off game if I missed. With the right ammo it's a great little gun to throw in utv and not worry about scratches.

1 year agoIve gone through over 600 rounds without cleaning and it still works great, there's been a jam and misfeed or two but for the price it's incredible. The only real downside i've had is that the iron sights were off centered but with a bb gun scope the problems not bad.

1 year agoWell made, accurate and reliable 22lr rifle. Add a good scope and bipod and is as accurate as any rimfire in the 200-400$ range

1 year agoIt's not picky with ammunition. Decent accuracy. But barrel "floats" above the forestock. When shooting on homemade horse, there's a difference in accuracy if barrel is on horse or forestock. But forestock and barrel do not completely touch. There is about a 1/4" gap. I didn't pay attention to that when I picked it up from Cabela's and I should have rejected it. It's unbelievable that quality control let that one slip and I wonder how many rifles are that way. When I shoot holding forestock it's Ok. But there's a definite difference in accuracy when resting the barrel or the forestock on a shooting horse or surface.

1 year agoThis rifle was zeroed in right out of the box. There is no recoil on this thing which makes it a ton of fun to shoot. There isn't anything fancy on here so you get what you see.

1 year agoA lot of fun, and accurate. Like others, I think the mag release is a little goofy but after some getting used to I’m ok with it.
yeah rightss
1 year agoI have had this rifle for about 8 years now love it, stock holds paint well. Killed many small game with it.

1 year agoNo frills. Shoots straight. Works like it’s supposed to. Great rifle for the price. My 9, 11, 12 yo love shooting this rifle.

1 year agoI never owned a .22 before this one. I put on a cheap Walmart scope and after 15 minutes to dial in, I was surprised how accurate it really was. Two inch grouping at 50 yards. My son and I had a blast target practicing. No issues with the gun mechanics so far. No regrets, can't beat the price.

1 year agoThe sights was a tad off, but that's my only complaint. Nice handling, firing, and a nice 22lr to fire. Love it! My woman now wants one.....with a scope. Lol

1 year agoAccurate out of the box, easy to disassemble and clean. It seems like Savage has addressed the problem of the small magazine release and made the stock one longer. Great price and super happy with the gun!

1 year agoFront iron sight stuck not centered and way to the right. It won't move at all, I've tried hammers, punches, and wood blocks. Also, the barrel was not centered in the stock. It is slightly touching the left side of the stock, so the barrel is not free floating. Very disappointing. I know this is a budget rifle but there are faults in manufacturing and quality control. Would not recommend.

1 year agoLove the 22. Very accurate with open sights, easy for my daughter to shoot... wish the bolt was longer, only down side

1 year agoAwesome little gun. Easy to order and took it to the range that weekend. Even with iron sights I was consistently on target 50 yards out. Very happy with the purchase and with palmetto state armory.

1 year agoOutstanding, the whole family enjoys this. Fun to shoot, easy to clean, just a great plinking toy for just about any age and quite accurate, very happy with this purchase. Just wish there were 20 rd mags that fit this.

1 year agoIt's not bad, it will shoot straight and a cheap little gun. The complaint I have is the locking mechanism for the slide is a little push in bolt on the upper receiver. The problem is you have to use it to pull the slide back to clear the chamber so you're pulling back while you're trying to push it in to lock it. Also it doesn't lock fully to the rear so to load a round you have to pull the slide back further than what's it's locked into place. For the price not a bad gun but I'd probably spend about $100 extra to get a better design if I had it to do over
