I bought one of these in 2014, it has become my take to the range rifle. recently a pin sheared off in the bolt & I sent it back to savage for repair with return postage with purolater. In the mean time i bought another one from Cabellas in case there was a problem. Savage sent it back to me me with a new bolt & checked the headspace & test fired the rifle & also included a 10 round magazine. For some reason Purolator would not pick it up so Savage returned it by UPS at there expense. Savage covered the cost of everything. They repaired it under warranty. That is a sign of a company that stands behind their product. If you are wondering on whether to buy one or not I hope this helps out. Thank You Savage for your excellent after sale service!

The best money I ever spend on .22 It's amazing how accurate is this rifle. Don't hesitate to buy it you won't regret. If there is more stars than 5 this rifle deserves it.

Bough it last year. It's super accurate and fun to shoot however after 800 ends it started jamming like crazy. It looks like they have an extractor issue and it's very common. I'll be trying to get ahold with savage to see if there is anything I could do to bring this thing back to life..

I've had mine for a couple of years now and its a really great piece that I bring out often. Great quality, easy to clean, and most importantly fun to shoot. Accurate as heck too.

Received the rifle in the mail, opened the box and start inspecting the rifle, when I get to the bolt handle it looked like someone used it as a hammer, there’s clearly multiple dents in the knob and bluing has come off. The handle isn’t bent or damaged. The action was sticky at first, seeming to catch up on something as I pushed the bolt handle forward. This seems to have cleared up since oiling and running the action a dozen or two times. Rifle came with cheap scope bases and a 5round mag. Not sure if because the bolt and mag were shipped in the same package inside the box during shipping they were banged around a lot or what but other than that looks really sharp. Thinking about returning it in hopes of getting one without the damage. I say I recommend the product because I have other savage rifles and I believe this is just a one off.

I've put at least 3000 rounds through the rifle and the accuracy has been reliable and dead on to the point of being able to easily hit spent larger caliber cartridges at 80+ yards. Found out this winter the magazines start failing at -10C and light strikes and misfeeds from the magazine are common at lower temperatures. The back of the bolt started peening after 800 rounds but that seems to have had no effect on the operation of the rifle. It works flawlessly in warmer temperatures and is reliabe but buyer beware, at sub zero Temps expect feeding and firing malfunctions. For the price it's a great plinking rifle with the great advantage of having a heavy barrel. Points have to be detracted for the poor reliability in the Canadian cold

Great sale price on this rifle in the Bargain Cave. Only problem was the first one had to be returned with a non functioning bolt. Went home and ordered another one, bolt still sticky but working better with a good cleaning and oil. Still trying to get point put back on card as were not available from purchase of first rifle. All the staff that got involved were exceptional. Not their fault the manufacturer sent out a defective rifle the first time.

This is a very accurate firearm when fed the ammunition that it likes to digest. It also appears to be a very good selection considering its cost.

Had this Canadian made model for many years and loved that it punched above its weight with most ammo except Winchester white box which although accurate it failed to extract <50% of the time regardless of the lot#. The rough matte bluing finish is kinda rust prone so keep it oiled. I use a foam pool noodle to get a better cheek weld on the stock for the scope set up I used. It works... Getting pricier but overall good 'bang' for the buck when on sale.

I can consistently split playing cards in half at 100m with this rifle. That is absolutely insane. This is an amazing gun - WITH THE RIGHT AMMO. The drawback here is extraction issues with most brands. This gun is very picky with the kind of ammo it likes. Amazing value, this gun competes with other .22 bolt actions in the $1000ish price range in terms of accuracy, although materials are cheaper obviously. You can compete with this rifle

out of the box and first use was good. Very accurate shooting CCI SV. Less accurate shooting CCI HV hollow point varmint load. Trigger weight was good for me and did not adjust. Will wait to assess reliability of action. Scope mounts wider than the Mossberg it replaced. No open sights on this model. Disassembly instructions did not include the synthetic stock model I purchased. Managed to muddle through.

My buddy has one of these and I bought one as well. I would recommend it to anyone who wants an accurate .22 bolt gun.

oVERALL HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE. REASONABLY ACCURATE (HAVE NOT MEASURED GROUPS YET). bOLT A BIT STIFF, BUT THAT COULD BE DUE TO NEWNESS. tRIGGER VERY GOOD AS EXPECTED. onLY ISSUE IS i MAY NEED TO EITHER ADD STOCK SPACER OR GET NEW SCOPE MOUNT ADAPTER AS i CANNOT MOUNT THE SCOPE FAR ENOUGH FORWARD ON THE SUPPLIED WEAVER RECEIVER MOUNTS.

Really liking my Savage Mark II. Smooth action shoots well, feels good, and fun to shoot. Overall, I have been very pleased with my Savage rifles.

For the price this is the best shooting .22 you can buy. I dropped it into a Boyd's stock. Shoots lights out at this point

Great rifle, very accurate, I like the looks of it. Stock feels a little flimsy towards the muzzle. Still playing with the trigger setting. Tight groups at 25 yards, had limited time with it and unable to shoot at 50 yards.

Have not had a chance to shoot it yet. It's been too hot here in Phoenix 114. I can't wait to try it out , bought several different brands of 22lr ammo still looking for some SK and RWS.

Using cci standard velocity and wolf match team, the rifle shoots dime size cloverleaf's at 50yards,no issues at all right out of the box, the only thing is the stock . Just flimsy and small.
