The Legion P229 Legion RX is equipped with a slide-mounted reflex optic, the ROMEO1. All of the benefits of the P229 are enhanced through the use of SIG SAUER’s premier line of reflex mounted pistol optics. Shoot confidently and enjoy the crisp reliability of the P229’s smooth double-action/single-action trigger. With the ROMEO1, this P229 Legion RX is the perfect mix of versatility and performance that every concealed carrier seeks. The pistol is finished in Cerakote Elite Legion gray coating, custom G-10 grips with a Legion medallion, the new SIG SAUER Electro-Optics X-RAY high visibility day/night sights and will ship with three magazines. The P229 in DA/SA include a reduced and contoured Elite beavertail, which allows for a higher grip, but a reduced profile, thus eliminating printing. More aggressive front strap checkering and additional checkering under the trigger guard enhance the grip. An X-Five undercut has been applied to the trigger guard, allowing for a higher grip and greater control. Front cocking serrations provide greater purchase for cycling the action, clearing the firearm, or conducting press checks. The pistol is available in 9 mm, .40 and .357 SIG and also features low profile decocking and slide catch levers to reduce the risk of snagging. An enhanced polished action with the SRT (Short-Reset Trigger) is augmented with a Grayguns, Inc. designed P-SAIT trigger. In addition, a solid steel guide rod adds weight where it matters most.

1 year agoI carry compact pistols all the time. I am actually a Colt guy, but I do have two Sigs. This Sig points and shoots fantastic. I like the fat grip, but it may be too fat for smaller hands. The aim point is natural for me, and in these times of uncertainty, I like the fact that I can easily carry 15 rounds and 1 in the camber. The first time out, I shot both practice rounds and defense rounds. The pistol functioned well with no FTF, nor misfires of any kind. I had to stop and read how to turn the … Read More

1 year agoBought way back in ‘16. I love the feel and it is a very simple, elegant and easy firearm to learn with. It was my first actual gun upon the recommendation of friends who own Sig pistols and after reading numerous reviews, I took the plunge. My model has wood grips and an aluminum looking body. Forgive me for not being up on proper descriptions but, it is a great shooting pistol and even without a lot of instruction, it didn’t take long for me to be able to adequately shoot with accuracy. Use … Read More

1 year agoI have had this P229 for about a year and a half now. It is one of my major carry pistols and I love it. I am a confirmed Colt owner, but this is amazing. I have only shot it about 1000 rounds, but I have not had a single misfire, stop pipe or any kind of stoppage., It is a pleasure to hold, though it may not be for a small handed person. I love the fact that it has extra firepower, and as a retired LEO, the extra rounds are important. I shoot 45 acp, but 9 mm is my second round. I have my own … Read More

1 year agoI picked up the p229 SAO for two major reasons. First I have the p226 SAO purchased, used from a gunsmith. The work he put in made the 226 one of the easiest and nicest pistols I have ever handled. Thinking I could do the same with something I could carry, I did. In terms of ergonomics, trigger feel, trigger reset, this pistol will compete with a very well tuned 1911. In terms of capacity, I like this better. The only downside, is weight and size. It's not a pocket pistol, and it has a metal … Read More

1 year agoI own several Sigs and the Legion series has lived up to the hype. I have the SAO RXP P229 Legion and the Trigger is awesome. I also have the Legion IWB holster for it which is also impressive. It is worth the extra money.

1 year agoI’ve shot many different 9mm, I own a few, I still love my iron sights 92A1, but this P229 is by far one of the nicest shooting pistols! I just spent some time at the range, shot about 100 rounds, very accurate right out of the box. I tweaked the red dot a little, and all shots are in tight groups, up to 25 yards. It’s to bad ammo has become ridiculously expensive, I would be shooting this gun as often as I could get to the range! I’m going to install the flat trigger. Spend the extra money and buy this gun.

1 year agoI was a little skeptical with legion line given the pricing. However, after checking it out at the range, it was great at performance, and ease of use. I definitely like the trigger under cut, and the romeopro red dot. Easy to pick up on target.
