I’ve had mine since 03/2020 and put about 500 rounds through it so far. I got the Sig Bravo5 battlesight for it and I’m not looking back! This thing performs flawlessly. I added a JP Enterprises silent captured buffer spring assembly in this thing and the action is absolutely perfect on this setup. (No offense Sig, but the flat wound buffer spring sounds like a spoon on a cheese grater. This is a solid rifle and it doesn’t wiggle or rattle between the lower/upper, which is a huge plus for a … Read More

I live in California, so I have the Tread that has the featureless grip. However, I LOVE this rifle! Took it straight to the range with a cheap optic, and I couldn’t miss. If you happen to come across this rifle, get it. Seriously. It’s great for entry-level shoots like myself who are still learning the mechanics of shooting. I put 100 rounds through it with no problems at all.

This gun is sweet! Very smooth! Very little recoil, none that is discernible. Accurate. Worth the money!

Pro's - Love it's mid-length gas, 1 n 8 twist, comes with most things you would upgrade anyway. Love it has the QD ring on the lower. The quality is so good. One of my sons will inherit this from me. Con's - it does have great Ambidextrous options, but when I listen to the advertisement from Sig on youtube, and it's website. I was under the understanding it came with an Ambidextrous charging handle. I could be mistaken so they still get five stars.

I was looking for an AR-15 under $1,000 and still got the job done. I settled for a sig sauer tread and was more than happy with my purchace. Very accurate and dependable.

Rifle was quick and easy to sight in. Trigger has a short, easy pull, with limited recoil on the rifle. Purchased risers to go under my pop-up sights for a more comfortable sight down range.

My wife bought this for me as a birthday gift and I have to say, the rifle had amazing balance, the handguard is perfect for c-clamp firing position and I have really enjoyed its ergonomic design and feel. Its a Sig so the upper and lower receiver lock together like they are a single piece, and the compensator does a great job or reducing kick. I spent 15 years as a rifleman in the Marines and I really enjoy this rifle.

Rifle fires well, but hand guard I don’t know what they where thinking when they made it. Cannot add QD mount close to upper and lower receiver.

When i got done with the army i needed to find a new fresh life and decided to move to oregon and wanted to buy an AR, after searching online and going into stores i came across a sig brand rifle that i had no clue of sig brands and decided to make the purchase and man! Best decision i have made on my first AR ! On my own free time i took classes for AR training and had my rifle get put through the meat grinder of training and never failed me. The only small thing i dont like is thr front muzzle … Read More

Really good sporting rifle for the money. Just three months of ownership, 1200 rounds (55 and 62 grains) thus far, no defects. Added 1×6 LPVO, one an quarter inch groupin at 100 yards. My 400 has enhanced trigger.

This was the second Sig Ar I purchased, and couldn't be more happier with it. IT WAS LIGHTER than I thought it would be so it gave me some options for sights/scopes and accessories. replaced the stock trigger with a geisselle SSAE and shooting this rifle is just pure fun!

Love it. It shoots smooth. Can't beat the price for what it comes with. Standard items are upgrades on most others.

Great rifle. I just finished putting 500 rounds through it. NOT a single malfunction or problem. Solid and very accurate. I replaced the stock hand guard with the 15" hand guard from the Tread accessory line, and it feels great and ventilates (dissipates heat) very fast. I have been firing Winchester M855, 5.56x45mm out to 300 meters (just like when I was in the US Army) love it. Too bad pictures can no longer be posted on the reviews. I replaced the stock trigger with the TREAD SINGLE STAGE DUAL BOW TRIGGER UPGRADE KIT, much smoother and lighter. The TREAD accessories are great.

Absolutely in love with this gun!!!! My favorite one by far!!! Super tight grouping which I’m loving , my only problem was when I bought it the magazine it came with kept causing my rifle to jam so I had to go purchase another magazine. Other than that I have no complaints, my girlfriend even loves shooting it.

Sleek, lightweight, and shoots well. The stock trigger feels crisp with little take up or play, and feels natural to shoot. Sig states it's their "entry level" AR-15 but it's well-made and feels more expensive than what the $850-900 price tag would suggest. Well worth the buy if you want something that is highly customizable.

The M400 Tread is my very first rifle and Sig product, and I absolutely love it! It has a lot of great features, including a mid-length gas system and ambidextrous hardware (for us often forgotten lefties), which you usually don't see on rifles at this price point. I wasn't as thrilled with the weathered OD Green finish as I originally thought I w...Read More Read more about review stating Outstanding rifle, especially for the price.
