2 years agoGreatest hand gun ever designed. Every thing is there. Heavy duty, concealibility, good for every environment and situation.

1 year agoOverall, I love the P229, however, as you will find with many products on this website, Sig does not advertise ALL of the details. Nowhere does it list or show that their CA version comes with a LCI on the slide. For the $$$ it sure would be nice to know exactly what you are buying. Confused why a company resorts to these selling tactics when it makes such a high-quality product.

1 year agoI gave it four stars previously, but I've bumped it up to five after having it a few years. It is reliable, accurate, and a very versatile pistol. Mine is chambered in .40S&W, .357 SIG and 9mm (via a Bar-Sto conversion barrel). The grips are for women and men with smaller hands (or extremely large hands with a lot of meat to compress around the grip). Both large and medium hands are probably better off with other options (e.g. Hogue G10's which are like the Legion's grips but better in my

1 year agoI've had this pistol for three years now. The grips were too small so I replaced them with the Hogue checkered G10's which I like better than the Legion version they make because, for my hands, my finger pad rests on the SIG medallion which has no traction. The ones from Hogue lack this give me more purchase (and I'm not into flashy things). I love the longer 1911-esque beavertail of this model as well. I think it looks better and is technically more forgiving of drawing with an imperfect

1 year agoThe gun is high quality, accurate out of the box with a very manageable soft recoil. I also find the overall dimensions of the gun quite pleasing, you can tell that a lot of r&d went into this firearm. It’s expensive but the high price tag is justified with the quality you get, no cheap materials, minimum plastic and superbly engineered. You would be hard pressed to find a better quality production gun out there. The only word of caution would be that it’s a tad big for CC. It’s more of a service gun size. Otherwise, great firearm, highly recommended.

1 year agoI am a big fan of the P226/229 series of Sigs and this didn’t disappoint. The fit and finish were top notch, easy to ordering and pick up. If you’re thinking of getting one of these don’t hesitate. I may install a set of aftermarket grips for looks only, the E2 grips make for a great purchase in your hand. The SRT is already installed so nothing else is needed. I would like to see an OR version. This model uses the 15 round magazine and comes with 2 and has night sights. Nice shooter!!!

1 year agoThis is my go to gun. I love it. Weight, balance and controls. Consistent trigger. I’ve only run reloads through it so far with ZERO issues. It will handle those then I know I’m an trust it with my life. I wen5 from carrying a Glock19X to the P320 and on a whim I bought this. I was so impressed I purchased a P226 and P229 Legion. I changed the grips on the 226 and the Elite to a Houge piranha g10. Nothing wrong with the other grips just like these better. Some say that the hammer fired are for beginners but I disagree. I love my P320 but this is perfection.

1 year agoExcellent gun everything I thought it’d be. However mine came with some scratches on the ejection port and trigger wiggles a bit when I move it side to side so I’m giving it a 4 stars.

1 year agoGun arrived perfect new condition. This is tied with the 226 as my favorite Sig, but I can carry this one. The elite model has all the features I wanted without spending more for the legion. Feels incredible in the hand and shoots excellent.

1 year agoThis is my latest sig purchase. I love them for dependability and simplicity decocker is what draws me to them for the safety of operation. Would never buy any other manufactures auto pistol. Only like old style with the hammer. Bought my daughter 365. She likes it

1 year agoI understood that the P229 is a hammer fired pistol. But the photo does not show a hammer. Please explain, thanks

1 year agoIt is the best pistol I have ever owned! The capacity, accuracy, grip and easy maintenance move my Legion RXP compact to the top of the class! Simply the best!

1 year agoThis was a red case P229 in .357SIG. While the handgun itself is probably nearer to 20 years old rather than brand new - it came out of the case looking and feeling nearly brand new. I have a P228 (9mm). This matching twin in .357SIG makes a beautiful twin for my collection. Old School German SIG quality in a compact package.

1 year agoI’ve had Sig’s since I joined the Navy in 1968 and retired in 1995. I’ve shot other brands but Sig is the best for me.

1 year agoI cleaned the pistol before I took it to the range. I used 124 grain 9mm ARMSCOR FMJ ammunition. I had stoppages four or five times as the rounds were feeding into chamber. The rounds were jamming in the slide and would not feed properly into the chamber. The action would not close and chamber the round all the way. I had to clear the chamber, loc...Read More Read more about review stating Ammo feeding issues at the first visit to the range

1 year agoP229 Pro fits my hand like a glove. The SRT and minor recoil significantly improve control during rapid fire.

1 year agoAbsolutely love this pistol. It fits my hand like a glove and shoots straight as an arrow right out of the box. It took a few rounds to get use to the da/sa. It is very stiff when trying to chamber a round but I'm told it will loosen up once it has been broken in. I realize all this is a matter of opinion but I'm very pleased with my purchase. 1 year agoI flipping love this gun. The shipping was super fast, the condition of the firearm is excellent, arriving in the box with all the bits one would expect. It's a rarity that I go anywhere else but Guns.com for my firearm purchases. The P229 can be a costly pistol, especially the Elite, so I shopped around. It was no surprise to me that I found the ...Read More Read more about review stating Another awesome gun and experience
