Sig Sauer SIGM400 Tread 5.56 NATO Pistol – PM400-11B-TRD

Liked the size and crispness of the action at the store. Added a Romeo5 and headed to the range. Wow! Tight, fast groups. The smooth, easy action meant minimal movement with each shot, so the next shot was acquired that much quicker. The blade helps to keep the pistol nicely in position. Fun and accurate, with no reliability issues so far. This is another Sig quality performer.

Overall I like the gun. Brace is thin and nearly useless, and I wish it had come with some sights. I do like the grip and tightness of the upper and lower fit. I’d read that the m-lok barrel guard might be too heavy, but I can’t really tell. I’m not ex-military, nor have I owned more than a 12 gauge hunting shotgun and .357 revolver before this year, but after watching the shear madness of the last 6 months I’d like to be prepared. Purchased one month ago on PSA. I've only put about 30 rounds through this one in order to sight-in a red dot. Overall, a well constructed entry-level AR. Nice solid feel in the hands with a good, tight fit between the U & L receivers. Good mechanical function with no errors. Goes 'pew' when you pull the trigger & hits what you're aiming at. Beautiful gun. This is feels great in your hands and on the range. Delivers accurate grouping and is very customizable. I love it. It’s beautiful and shoots so well. Obviously you should change out the uncomfortable butt stock. And add a sight, and then keep adding what you’d like. I’d recommend it.

I had been looking for a pistol sized AR and saw very positive reviews for the SIG M400. Unfortunately, availability was limited and prices were generally inflated. Palmetto State offered it at list price, it shipped and arrived promptly and was exactly as advertised. I quickly replaced the blade stabilizer with something more effective and found it to be very accurate using lighter (50-62 gr.) ammunition.
