2 years agoI have yet to shoot the gun but I have been feeling it out dry firing and testing the slide/safety and magazine spring stiffness. The Gun itself is very small and compact and with fat fingers I was a little concerned I would not like the feel of the gun or have adequate grip when firing. To my surprise the gun felt really good in my hands even with my pinkie hanging off the extended grip Smith and Wesson provides. Loading mags is cake I regret buying an auto loader in fear of the magazines not

2 years agoI would certainly recommend this fine weapon for concealed carry. I bought mine a year ago (from PSA) and due to medical problems my trips to the range were delayed several months. Now, finally, I have found no problem with the trigger pull, magazine insertion, or recoil. Also no issues with misfires, and the thumb operated safety functions just fine. Nice looking weapon, good fit for my hands. Thank You to PSA for great service !

2 years agoThis is my daily carry option since it is small and lightweight. I have added a the bolt on clip for inside the waste carry, and it is very concealable. Mine is in Olive drab, but the gun is the same. i added the extended grip to the magazines, works great for the ole pinkie. If you dont have one, you are missing out.

1 year agoExcellent pocket carry; easily slips into nearly any pocket. I pocket carry with De Santos pocket holster, and conceals well even with suit pants, khakis, shorts, etc. long trigger pull and double-action only, which some people dislike; but, I prefer that to an accidental discharge while pocket-carrying. Small grip is a negative, making the weapon less manageable for accurate shooting.

1 year agoWe tried out one of these Bodyguards with a laser some time back. The salesman warned us to Lock-Tite the screw that holds down the small plate over the laser compartment. I managed to twist the anchor out of the plastic frame so we had to run the pistol sans laser after that. It ran pretty good on the American made FMJ. We settled on Hydrashock and Hornady XTP for the defense. After 140 rounds or so the magazine stripped out of the handle and wouldn't stay in place anymore. There is a tiny

1 year agoNice lil handgun. The trigger took a few shots to understand. But the conceal ability is fantastic. I even added a extended magazine base plate to give me 7 plus one.

1 year agoVery nice gun but ammo is hard to find. Would like to know if there is a laser that I can buy for this 380? Wife likes it very much because it is a light gun and has very little kick

1 year agoAfter two trips to the range, I’ve had to return this to S&W for repair. I’ve got the infamous magazine release problem where, despite my best efforts, the magazine constantly comes loose after firing. This results in a failure to feed. It’s been a little over a week now since I sent it back to Smith and hopefully it will be back soon. It seemed to shoot fine when I wasn’t having that issue but I did have to make a couple of mods. I painter the front sight white so I could actually

1 year agoBought this for the wife... has a little kick to it and it feels great in the hand... highly recommended.

1 year agoGreat little handgun for carry and self defense. I have large hands but no trouble handling this gun. I did add a Hogue Hand All Beavertail Grip Sleeve for extra mass on the grip. Only negatives are the long trigger pull and the thumb safety is a little difficult to disengage. With the long trigger pull there’s really no need to engage the thumb safety. Overall, the good features outweigh the negatives.

1 year agoThis is a badass conceal and carry pistol. Mine shoots low, need to make some adjustments on it and there’s quite the recoil on this mini cannon! I do like the size of it.

1 year agoPerfect for concealed carry. Good accuracy considering its small size. Just what I was looking for. Great piece.

1 year ago12 lbs trigger pull. Very difficult to shoot. The heavy and long trigger pull makes it impossible to hold on the target. I made a big mistake buying this.

1 year agoFirst time shoot at the range was a beautiful experience. It's a beautifully small pistol that's small enough to be an ankle carry. And with 6 in the mag and 1 in the chamber, I'd say 7 rounds of .380 on your ankle is a perfect back up to any main carry. Comes in a cardboard box. Inside that box it comes in a nylon zippered case with a stretchy pouch for the second magazine. I never liked the M&P safety's. Flipping the safety switch down (safety off) was never the problem...it's

1 year agoBought it for my wife to carry when she is on her jogs. Didn’t really like going smaller than 9mm but I figure it’s better than mace. Works great.

1 year agoIt is a great little gun! Love it! Smith and Wesson has great guns one of my favorite! High quality and great overall valve! PSA has a great selection also! Thanks again!

1 year agoPurchased this gun as purely a self defense weapon. A .380 is not designed for a heated gun fight or hitting a target at 100 yds. It's meant for a close up self defense encounter and for that purpose it will do just fine. I found this .380 to have a bit more recoil then a traditional full size 9 MM. Yes the trigger pull is long but this will prevent it firing when drawn from a holster or pocket in a high stress situation. If you pull the trigger back until you feel resistance then take aim at a range target it's accurate.

1 year agoMine came missing the extractor but I'm guessing that's a smith and wesson issue not a palmetto one but it was a 5 dollar part works great now.

1 year agoI'm having an issue with light strikes with the hammer. Hopefully, when I run 500 or more rounds through it, it will fire with every pull of the trigger. Today, I ran about 150 rounds through it and had several light strikes with the hammer. This is a new gun and is not broken in yet. I was using this for my EDC, but I have my doubts.

1 year agoFirst firearm I ever purchased 7 years ago and I have no regrets. Runs every brand of 380 ammo where for instance the Ruger LCP II I bought just this week for my daughter wouldn't run Sig Sauer elite performance but my Bodyguard did ! Trigger is heavy and not for the feeble fingered. Slide release is excellent and the thumb safety is very positive and will not come undone accidently during daily pocket carry so having 1 in the chamber is a GO. I use the pinky extender on all my 6 round mags
