The M&P Shield 9mm is not too compact and not too bulky. The 7 round magazine was too short for my grip, but I found an aluminum extension that increases the capacity by 2 rounds and makes the grip length just right. The 8 round mag is long enough as is.

I have shot my friends several hundred times. Fell in love with it and decided i need one. Nothing fancy, but rock solid performance round after round. Small great CC gun!

I was looking for something lighter to carry and this was my choice. It comes with a six and seven round magazines. I have larger than average hands and the seven round magazine fits my hand better. I love the feel of the grip and the trigger has a nice crisp break and short reset.

This is my first. 45 pistol. I must say I just love it. It is a pleasure to conceal carry because it is so light. I barely notice it's there. The recoil is very tame even compared to my 9mm. I even think it has less recoil. I haven't had one malfunction in the few hundred rounds I've fired. I got mine with factory night sights at a great price from grab a gun. I would highly recommend this pistol and grab a gun.

This thing is light and thin great to carry. Shoot's great,love the night sights. Little ruff on the hand at first but not bad.

Great CC pistol. Tame for a 45 Auto in such a small package I'v shot snappier 9mm's of similar size/weight. Night sights are a-ok and the shot groups are tight. Shipped fast in NIB condition.

I have put about 300 rounds through it and have had zero malfunctions. Very accurate and very comfortable to carry.

Everything about the S&W Shield line are pluses for the shooter who requires or wants a very concealable everyday weapon. I selected the .45 model and am extremely pleased with its performance and carrying capability. Not only that put it is a pleasure to shoot. I would recommend a Shield to anyone who needs a quality firearm and I would definately recommend GrabAGun as their source for procurement.

I want to give this pistol 5 stars, but it's had issues. The good: I love the feel and the weight of this gun. it's surprisingly accurate and carries easily. I like the aggressive stippling and the 2.0 trigger is very good out of the box. The bad: I had to send the gun back to S&W after 400+ Rounds because of a failure to feed issue with the last round in the magazine. Really like the gun. Very soft shooting pistol for caliber. Gun is great size and easy to conceal. Night sights are a plus for ccw.

If you want a good CC gun in 45ACP, look at this model. This has the 3.3" barrel and is roughly the size of a G43X. Fewer rounds, greater stopping power. No misdeeds after 100 rounds with Sig-Sauer JHP, Winchester FMJ, and various reloads. Take down and cleaning pretty easy.

The springs on the magazine are insanely tight and rough to load without a speed loader. I tried firing it at the range out of the box and kept getting failures to feed, after disassembling cleaning and lubricating the gun it seemed to resolve that issue. Surprised with being a compact and double action it had a very little recoil and would definitely recommend it.
