for it to work right you have to use coper plated round nosed ammo with a high fps. if you use led or hollow point ammo it will jam.

I BOUGHT THE AR15-22 BRAND NEW. AFTER SHOOTING LESS THAN 50 ROUNDS OF CCI MINI-MAG AND WINCHESTER AMMO THE EXTRACTOR FLEW OUT AND WAS LOST. S&W SENT ME A NEW EXTRACTOR. I SHOT ANOTHER 50 ROUNDS AND THEN THE RIFLE STARTED JAMMING EVERY THIRD ROUND. I TRIED CLEANING IT. THIS DID NOT HELP. I SENT IT BACK TO S&W FOR REPAIR. I WAS TOLD IT WOULD TAKE ABOUT 2 MONTHS TO GET IT BACK. THIS RIFLE WAS BOUGHT FOR STEEL CHALLENGE AND NOW ALL THE SUMMER MATCHES IN MY AREA WILL BE OVER BEFORE I GET THE RIFLE BACK. THERE ARE PLENTY OF RELIABILITY PROBLEMS WITH THIS RIFLE. DO NOT BELIEVE THE PAID YOU-TUBE REVIEWS. BUY A RUGER 10/22. MANY HAPPY COMPETITION SHOOTERS RELY ON RUGER DEPENDABILITY. IT IS MORE RELIABLE AND RUGER GIVES MUCH QUICKER FACTORY REPAIR SERVICE. I KNOW THIS BECAUSE I HAVE SENT GUNS INTO RUGER FOR REPAIR. THE S&W AR15-22 IS JUNK. IT LOOKS LIKE AN AR-15 BUT SO DOES SOME ALL PLASTIC AIRSOFT GUNS BUT THAT DOES NOT QUALIFY THEM AS A RELIABLE FIREARM.

Great toy gun for target practice with the kids. Eyes and ears always and with adult supervision. Reliable and light enough a kid can hold it.

Perfect rifle to learn the mechanics of the ar15 and being 22lr makes it quiet, fun and cheap to shoot

Great for plinking. Very picky with ammo though, I stick with CCI to avoid failures. Wouldn't rely on it for nothing other than target practice. Overall a great shooter as long as you keep it clean.

The thing is basically all plastic, so don’t be surprised. I tossed on a red dot and can get penny sized groups all day. Shoots straight and reliable with cci tactical ammo, others work good as well but I’ve had a few hiccups. The gun breaks down just like an AR so you can learn how to take care of one with a few less parts. The factory mbus sights are solid as well. I personally hate firing my AR inside at the range so I take this and have just as much fun. I’d buy another one in a heartbeat

The .22 LR M&P 15-22 is a fun little rifle, being mostly composite it’s very light. Great for introducing younger enthusiast into the world of an AR style rifle.

I bought this gun because I wanted something as tactical as an AR15 but cheaper to shoot. I use it for target shooting around 50 yards and it is perfect. Everything fires well and cleaning is simple. I’ve also put a Red dot and Magnifier on it that can be used on an AR15 if I decide to upgrade.

Great rifle, light weight and easy to use. The magazines are very easy to load and it shoots accurately. I already put around 500 rounds in about a week.

My wife enjoys our AR-15, but I wanted a less-expensive gun for her to practice with. She's delighted with the M&P. And I have to admit it's a lot of fun for me, too!

I would have giving 5 stars however it took 2 trips to the store and 4 hrs due to the lack of staff working the gun counter, After 2.5 hrs of waiting the first time, I left the store

Sweet little .22. It's accurate, the recoil is practically non-existent, and it's fun to shoot. I'd recommend it for plinking cans or pretty much any recreational shooting.

Great plinking rifle overall. No complaints except I wish I were able to swap out the buttstock. I was not aware that couldn't be changed until bringing it home. That's on me. Otherwise it's great.

Awesome little rifle! It's not picky with ammo. My son and I already ran 1100 rounds through it with no issues! It's a great starter rifle. I highly recommend it.

Had one a couple years ago and traded up to a real AR.. just bought this one and it shoots great. loads of fun

I love it. I did change the grip to a Magpul that doesn't have the bump on it so that it will feel the same as my Rugar 556. I also bought one of those plastic snap on cheek risers from Amazon and now I am good to go. Price was great add $7.99 shipping and your good to go.

Great deal at Grab A Gun and a fun gun to shoot! Shipped to my FFL quickly and I have had it to range a couple of times since picking it up. No jams or "stovepipes" yet, been running CCI AR Tactical trough it with no problems. Only downside is the state I live in and the options I had to give up.

This s&w m&p15-22 is a awesome and fun to shoot ar-15 type rifle. Made very well and looks real cool.

Make sure you read the details. I accidentally purchased this M&P 15-22 LR CA compliant thinking it was a regular M&p 15 223.-556. But honestly it's still a great rifle to practice targeting. And very affordable.
