Out of the box, the Look & Finishing is great. The sight is a pre-set/fix type & it was perfectly set from the assembly line. The recoil is not too much, easy to control with some practices. In 10 yards, I can put all 16 rounds, right into a 6" diameter bull eye target. (Double tap, about 10-11 rounds) Though the trigger pull is a bit too much, this pistol has very good setup & good carry weight (I always load only 12 rounds). On the safety, this SD9 VE doesn't have a manual

Everything I hoped for, was waiting a couple months before came back in stock, but when it did, was as good as mine!

I like it, small feel fairly well made. Easy to learn with. The light was a great addition. I recommend it.

The light is a good piece of kit for an EDC gun. The trigger is garbage. But the aftermarket has blessed this pistol with some fine trigger kits. If you get an APEX trigger set, You'll thank me. Get a buffer rod spring kit to tune up your lock-time and drop in a titanium striker and Ti striker block button that has been milled to give a smooth trigger pull through it's much easier radius transition taking a lot of creep out of your pull. Throw on some Tru-Glo tritium 3 dot sights and go run a few hundred to break it all in. Then give it a modest clean up and carry that popper!

The sd9 VE is a great gun for the price. The light was a nice bonus. With that said if you live in Illinois or other states known to have stricter gun laws don’t expect to get your magazines with this firearm. Palmetto refused to send them or credit me in any way. I would have even accepted a lower capacity magazine. They just plainly charged me for goods not delivered. I purchased the same mags that come with the gun at my local gun shop in the northwest Chicago suburbs. So they are not illegal!

Great gun but didn’t get the magz with it. That’s on Palmetto State. They don’t even offer credit or lower capacity magz. By the way they are not illegal in Illinois. I was able to pay $42 for each one I bought at my local gun shop in a Chicago suburb.

Just shot it for the first time. Long pull on the trigger but that's okay emptied both clips no problems I just need more practice

This is the first weapon I purchased from Palmetto State Armory. Everything about the transaction was incredible. I am now a lifelong customer. The Smith and Wesson 9 mm feels perfect in my hand. I would strongly recommend it to absolutely anyone

This is a reasonably priced top quality hand gun. Unfortunately, it came with 2 - 16 round magazines, which are illegal in Cook County, Illinois. So PSA sent the handgun without any magazines instead of sending 2 - 10 round magazines to replace the 16 round magazines. I contacted Smith & Wesson and they stated that PSA should have sent it with the 10 round magazines. So for a while I had a $400.00 paperweight until I found a local dealer that I purchased the 2 - 10 round magazines from. I guess it's buyer beware.

I’ve tried this firearm before purchasing, since taking possession I’ve been too the range two times, fired about 130 rounds. This gun has lived up too my expectations. It’s a great target and home defense weapon.
