Smith and Wesson M&P9 Shield Plus Performance Center 9mm 4" Barrel 13-Rounds Crimson Trace Red Dot Sight

I have carried a Shield since 2012, and most recently the PC 4 barrel with Red Dot. But was looking to change to a Sig P365 or a Hellcat because of their larger mags. This new Shield with 4 barrel, Red Dot, improved flat face trigger and 10/13 round mags is amazing! I preordered the day Brownells offered it. This seems to be a good gun, but I have dry-fired it only. Magazines are a problem - the fit is poor, with a gap between mag and magwell, and additional mags are still not available. I suggest that others (unlike me) wait until the gun has been around a while before purchasing one. Being the first kid on the block is foolish.

Everything is good with the firearm. The only issues I was having was with the magazines. The spring was very stiff it took some time to able to load all 13 rounds. So far everything is working good for know.

When slide is locked back it is impossible to release the slide with slide stop lever. I've got 4 13 round mags. About broke my uplula mag loader getting the thirteenth round in on all mags. And don't try to put a topped off mag in with slide forward.

Great pistol. Lightweight, durable, accurate, nice trigger pull, easy to handle, and the red dot sight is perfect for my old eyes. It makes focusing on the target very easy as opposed to attempting to see the gun sights and the target at the same time. Easy to carry. I would buy this same gun again. The red fit sight makes it easily worth the price, considering the manufacturer of the sight is known for very high quality. I already have several of their lasers for other handguns, but a red dot on a pistol is perfect.

I will start by saying that I have carried a full size M&P for years and I absolutely hate shooting my wifes original Shield. That said, I love the Shield plus. It is easier for concealed carry than the full size obviously and is easier for me to hold than the compact. By far one of the best hand guns in have owned.

Absolutely love it!!! I’ve never had good aim with regular black sites because I wear contacts one for close and one for distance. With the red dot site I can now hit the bullseye yay

I have a Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 compact (Awesome Gun). I heard a lot about S&W Performance Center and I wasn’t disappointed at all. First day I receive it from GUNS.COM I went to the gun range and had a BLAST! Gun handles very well and concealment

It’s easy to operate with very little recoil. The sights are amazing. The gun fits in my hand very comfortably.

The shield plus performance is a great upgrade from the original shield, but no matter what the shield is a great gun. You can't go wrong with the shield for self protection in my opinion. I traded my Shield for the Shield Plus. Wow!! This pistol feels great and shoots even better. Mine came with night sights. I love it!!!

First of all the shield they sent me was clearly used. I had to clean it before I could even use it, it was so dirty. Scratches on the slide and sights. They disassembled the optic for some reason. Me personally I don’t think there is a better handgun out there than a S&W all 6 of my handguns are S&W and if i ever get any more they will be S&W????????????

Nice and compact. Excellent craftsmanship and quality. Grips very well and easy to conceal. It’s worth every penny of your investment.
