2 years agoThis use to be standard police equipment when I was younger, and it was un-matchable.If I could this is the one weapon I would give my eye teeth to own one. Unfortunately due to the limited ammo it held when we switched to Semi Autos, these power house weapons were retired. There were two .357 guns I loved, the Colt Trooper Mark III and The Smith & Wesson .357 , it never left my side in all my years of service. Hope I can find one. Thanks,Steve ( Retired )

1 year agoThis is a great gun to shoot and also admire. Timeless beauty and S&W quality goes together as only a new improved version of a classic could. My gun has darker walnut grips than the stock picture shows which is just fine with me. This gun could be perfect for home defense since a sleepy headed idiot as myself could operate this powerhouse while stumbling from bed in the darkness of night.

1 year agoGrab a Gun has the best prices online. The delivery was quick. The placing of the order was easy. Quality of the firearm is outstanding. I am happy with my S&W Model 27 357 Mag.

1 year agoTitle speaks for itself. Nothing better than a Smith & Wesson 357 Magnum. But the photo makes the gun look more shiny than it actually is.

1 year agoBought as a gift for my daughter. Fit, finish, accuracy and overall handling are at the upper end, as expected from a S&W revolver. The SA was crisp and light enough. But the DA out of the box was far too stiff, must have been over 13 pounds. A gunsmith friend finally got it down to around 6 pounds. I fail to see why S&W, except for Performance Center pieces, cannot today provide revolvers with a DA pull like the company did on most of the ones from the 1930s to early 1990s.

1 year agoGreat customer service! I had to re-route my pistol enroute due to ridiculous Massachusetts dealer restrictions. Customer service helped in a timely manner without any deliver delay. Pistol arrived in fantastic condition as well.

1 year agoExcellent. I always wanted one back in the day, but missed my chance. This is top of the line Smith & Wesson. I don’t know weather to shoot it or just collect it. Think I’ll shoot it and experience the past. George Patton even carried one.

1 year agoThis S&W Classic Model 27 was my first purchase from Grab A Gun. The transaction went smoothly, the price was fantastic, shipping was prompt, and the gun arrived in perfect condition. I did some light stone work to slick up the action and now it is range ready.

1 year agoThis is the third revolver I’ve owned - the others being a 7.62mm Nagant and a snub-nosed .38 SPL - and this S&W is really an OUTSTANDING magnum-calibered handgun. The fit and finish are utterly flawless, the timing is perfect, and the POA/POI is almost dead on at 15 yds. Due to its heft, .38 SPL factory loads fired thru this revolver feel puny and recoil is all but nonexistent. .357s are more robust, but are extremely manageable. All in all, this thing’s really a joy to shoot. I would … Read More

1 year agoAfter the new waiting period thanks to new gun laws in Washington State I finally took possession oF my new Model 27. The gun looks amazing right out of the box, I gave it a five star rating even though I was not happy about the small grips. So I remedied that by ordering a pair of custom grips. When I get them I will send pictures of the gun. The whole experience with Grab a gun for this purchase was so easy, the hard part is having to wait to hold that beautiful piece of … Read More

1 year agoANOTHER CLASS FOR MY COLLECTION. THE WALNUT GRIPS WERE TOO SMALL FOR MY HAND SO I BOUGHT SOME HOGUE GRIPS THAT FIT NICELY. TO SAVE MONEY ON AMMO AND TO NOT BEAT UP MY HANDS, I MOSTLY SHOOT 38 SPECIAL.

1 year agoExcellent gun shot excellent and very smooth only thing is get some screws from midway 6-48 x 1/4" (#590604 ) to avoid that cylinder scoring from the screw not being flush.

1 year agoClassic profile. Heavy and solid. Very nice blueing, in my opinion. Black front sight blade and small grips were disappointing. Overall, Very nice and I am glad I got it.

1 year agoA very nice version of the original Model 27. No noted flaws despite S&W's known QC issues (thankfully)! Buying through Guns.com was super easy and trouble free. Would definitely purchase from them again.

1 year agoI contacted Guns.com by email to inquire about a Smith and Wesson.357 Magnum Model 27 revolver with a 4" barrel listed on their Website. They responded a couple of days later asking me for the gun's SKU#. After receiving it, a couple of days later, they confirmed that the gun was in stock. I purchased the gun online and gave them the FFL informati...Read More Read more about review stating Awesome!!
