this performance center model is well worth the extra cash. trigger in double action is smooth as silk and single action is incredibly light. remember this is a close up defensive revolver so the double action pull weight is very important. only thing i didnt care for was the feel of the grips. yes they are very nice looking but i have larger hands and i swapped them out for a pair of altamont rose wood combat grips. I get a much better purchase on the revolver this way and the grips … Read More

Sweet little revolver-nice action. Current generation of S&W are much better made-probably CAM - THAN S&W from 1970's-1990's.Folks gon on and on about the old days(I am 70) but in truth COMPUTER AIDED MACHINING means the revolvers are better made now-fewer qc PROBLEMS.Granted back when the finishes-beautiful bluing and nickel-were nicer-much prettier-but the actual workings-are better now At least this little Smith has nice wood( laminated but pretty) grips-no I will not call those tiny grips "stocks"

I have owned about a dozen j-frames and small taurus and charter revolvers. this is a keeper with noticeably tighter lockup and better trigger than the non-pc model 637. i also own the sister gun 642 pc and shot it side-by-side with my non-pc 642. i sold the non-pc model the next day. pc model hands down worth the little bit of extra cash. no rough edges or sloppy action here.

My go to EDC. Light weight, powerful, not to mention performance center trigger is excellent. Great quality firearm, cant go wrong with this one!

1. Nice looking. 2. After the first 25 rounds at the range the hammer would not strike with enough force to operate properly. Something must have disengaged because eventually it re-engaged and it worked fine afterword. 3. Shooting range ammo it had strong recoil. Have not tried it with regular rounds.

The craftsmanship and finish on this gun is excellent! Ammo availability and prices are kinda sketchy so I havent been able to shoot it much.

I love my new Smith & Wesson Performance Center Model 637 Enhanced Action 38 Special that I purchased from the Sportsman Warehouse. This is a small, light weight, beautiful, well made revolver that is so simple to load and fire. The action in both SA and DA mode is very refined. The gun is easy to conceal. Because the original grips were a tad too small I bought some Hogue grips for it which improved the shooting experience. I would highly recommend this revolver.

The Smith and Wesson model 637-2 from the Precision Center is a dandy little power house! Super light weight with great rosewood grips, +P compatibility, and an amazingly smooth action make for a near perfect concealed self-defense firearm.

Extremely smooth trigger pull. Grips are comfortable for man with medium to small size hands. Has less kick then my Ruger 9mm. I've decided, I like it.

I'm a female shooter and I found this gun so pleasant to shoot. Its light weight enough to shoot one handed. It's easy to clean. It's literally exactly what I was looking for for a conceal carry/home protection. I also found the purchasing experience with Sportsmans wearhouse to be exceptional. The website was easy to use, the turn around for pick up was very reasonable. The staff was knowledgable and friendly.

It must be half the weight of my cobra perfect for long term CC. Light trigger with just a little creep.

Love it. Fun to shoot. I do not carry it because it lacks the safety features of modern semi-autos, but it looks cool and is a blast at the range.

Great little gun. I like the combat grips that it comes with, I can get a full grip on this gun. Action is really smooth. The gun is pretty snappy, my wife shot two rounds and she was done.

Two thumbs up, light easy to conceal. Trigger and action nicely tuned compared to most S&W production guns.

I have only ran 25 rounds of ammo through it so far ,I will run another 50 through it soon . As you know ammo is hard to get in Cal right now . like my older Smith 629 it has good balance and is built "tight" and all the components have that well fitted mechanical feel to them. Amazing that you can build a firearm that "Light" that shoots that well !!!----Fred Kattelman--so far it's great !!!

A great gun to conceal and carry. Smith and Wesson makes the best weapons. The revolver is a weapon that always shoots and never breaks down.

This small revolver is a great size for ccw. The 38 cal. is a well respected and proven ammo. This gun fits well for the ccw or by the beside gun also. It looks great and feels great in the hand.
