SMITH & WESSON 640 PRO PERFORMANCE

I am very happy with the revolver. The trigger pull is stout as is to be expected with a DAO J frame. The gun functioned flawlessly for the 200 rounds I have put through it so far. I didn't have any of the problems with the action or lock up the other reviewers described. The Underwood 357 mag defensive rounds I had on hand were not pleasant to shoot with this little gun, but I could shoot .38 special all day. I love the sights. The finish of the gun was excellent.

No better price anywhere than GAG. Very pleased with the quality of the pistol and value received. Handles .38 Special very well but, wow, the .357 round sure got my attention and convinced me that I'd be better served with the .38 Special for a while until I learn this weapon's handling characteristics. Trigger pull is very heavy, but I knew that going in. Shot groups were low and to the right. Now to figure out how to adjust those tight dovetail sights....So far, so good. I'd buy it again, and only from GAG.

The 640 Pro is a great little revolver, however lacks some refinement for a $700 handgun. My example functions reliably and is reasonably accurate for it's design and intended use. Where Smith comes up short is with the miserable trigger pull on an otherwise fine revolver. My trigger pull gauge does not register high enough to record a reading of it. Really disappointing. I had looked for quite some time before finding this particular model as it was the only one I wanted at the time. It is an excellent piece and I would likely suggest 38+p defensive ammo for slightly reduced recoil. The night sights are great as is the adjustable rear sight.

Very happy I used Grabagun to buy my S&W 640 pro. It was the best price I could find anywhere. It took less than a week from the time I purchased until I picked it up at my FFL dealer. It is a solid little revolver! I don't know why people have complained about the trigger pull other than they might be little pansies that only ever shoot striker fired semi-autos. The trigger is definitely on par with my other 3 revolvers (all from 3 different maunufacturers). I do highly recommend getting the hogue tamer grips, they keep my hand from hurting, even when I shoot very hot 357 mag its quite manageable.

My Christmas present has arrived. I chose this over the Kimber K6 and Ruger SP01 for my EDC. It was the best choice now that I have handled it and fired it. I will replace grip with a Hogue Tamer as the 357 loads are a little punishing. The finish was a little dull and had some blotches but after some metal cleaner it shined up nicely. Best J frame available in my humble opinion. Shoots great and the sights are wonderful. Grab a gun makes purchasing a firearm online extremely easy. Best I have ever dealt with!

Always liked the J-Frames, but this model is truly a functional work of art. And, it has night sights along with a 2.25” barrel with moon clips for faster reloading if necessary. It is now one of my top 5 concealed carry weapons.

This Smith and Wesson is accurate, the recoil is manageable with magnum loads, and I like the factory installed night sights. I was shocked at how well it conceals without printing even in a pocket carry application. It draws well and functions flawlessly as expected.

Like the revolver very much, But the front sight is hard to pick up because the rear sight is so narrow. One might do better by 'blacking out" the rear sight, but then one ruins part of the reason one buys this revolver - nice sights.

I irdered this gun for my every day carry. Hammerless so it does not get caught up in my clothes or pocket.

Bought this a while back. Absolutely love it. Excellent edc weapon that fits my pocket. I am not a moon clip lover but the truth is you don't have to use them if you don't want to. It still ejects the the shells without the moonclips. Night sights are good for day or night. Love Smith and Wesson Revolvers. This is my 4th one.

I have wanted 1 of these for awhile, currently have a 442 pro which is a great revolver and is always with me. i purchased this one to have a 357 mag fow ccw. plus the factory night sights. i own several smith and wesson revolvers and the fit finish and quality never dissapoint. grab a gun had the best price and fast shipping.
