SMITH & WESSON 686 PLUS

Great weapon! This is a solid firearm. Takes on those .357 Magnums like a champ. The 3" was the right size...large enough to shoot without fatigue at the range and just small enough to carry if need be. The ordering process was OK. I placed my order and then waited 5 days - nothing. I then called - which they did answer - and was told I would need to wait a little longer. Of course, I hang up the phone and 30 minutes later I get the shipping email. I think they forgot about the order and my call pushed things along. But the weapon showed up 1 day later in good shape.

Are you a fan of the "wheel gun"? Do you legally carry a revolver? Do you legally carry in restrictive states? If yes, this is an ideal carry revolver. 7 rds of 357 or 38 special defensive loads, of which there are many. Be sure to check hp restrictions. Even in Y your round count is safe.The 3 inch bbl is sufficient for good shooting , not so long to jam your lower check.

I've only had the one experience with grab a gun and it went seamlessly. They had the best price of any local or on line dealer by at least $50 up to $125. I ordered it,they shipped it to my FFL and i picked it up...it did take a few extra days than they said for some reason but still reasonable. I love the gun,put around 800 rounds through it so far and love the fact i can use both 38 and 357....38 for target/price and 357 for a little more excitement and more carry power. If you like revolvers give this a shot-pun intended.

Excellent communication with grab a gun on the shipping status. Maybe nothing, but when I opened the box the gun looked like it had been in storage for a long time. Just didn't look new. Seems to function well though.

1st and foremost, the S&W 686 is an outstanding revolver! Whatever the inch barrel you choose to get, you'll not be disappointed! One of the things I love about the 686 is, it doesn't have that awful 2 piece barrel! That's why I chose it over the mew models 66 Combat magnum, or the 5 shot 69. Also those 2 guns have that bead blasted finish, which doesn't lend itself well to being polished!

This 686 is a fine revolver, its has good craftsmanship, good balance, and trigger action is good in double action Mode, single action is eXcellent. Accuracy is good to about 25 yrds then its seems to wonder but it could be the ammo or me....

First i will say grabagun was excellent with quick shipping of the item. The reason for 3 stars is that the gun came with an issue. The cylinder lockup was off and would get hung up when closing and not fully engage. The gun Has been sent to smith and wesson for repairs under warranty which is great but it is very unfortunate that this issue was not caught before the gun was shipped out. Very disappointing after sPending over $800. As for the gun itself i did put a few rounds through it and it was a fantastic shooter for anyone interested in its performance. Great balance.

S&W doesn’t disappoint. Every review on youTube raves about how fun this gun is and they are Correct. EVeryone should Have a revolver and the .357 will never be one you regret.

This gun!!! The TRIGGER pull is so smooth! The grip is perfect and no Recoil! Extremely accurate! My favorite gun hands Down! Perfect Gun! Worth every penny! Accurate!

the gun was very good looking out of the box. have not shot it yet due to sub zero temps. but it had a major problem. the cylinder was out of time and i had to send it back to get it fixed. if i had shot it like it was i would have had schrapnel in the face due to blowback. i was told it will take 8 to ten weeks to get it back hence the 3 star rating. bought a kimber 3inch barrel revolver instead. should have bought the kimber first. tolerances are the best i have seen in a revolver much better than smith and wessons, or any other manufactures guns. no issues with the kimber out of the box.

Great gun. Get the Wilson combat trigger spring kit for a light crisp trigger -vapprox 6 pounds da / 2 pounds sa. Only 18 bucks.

Great gun, learning the guns potential now. Only negative note, the hammer was so sharp with the aggressive checkering I had to debur the sharp edges. Balance, trigger, weight and finish exceded my expectations.

Purchased this gun as a birthday gift for my husband and he loves it.
