SMITH & WESSON 69 COMBAT MAGNUM

Great revolver, and strong fire power. Smith & Wesson always impress with its revolvers designs. Recoil significant powerfull, but very enjoyable. Best price found in Grab a Gun site, and smooth transaction.

So far I love it. Other than the lock, I hated the mat finish, and black cylinder release, and side plate screws. I polished it to a semi bright finish, and replaced all the black with stainless. I just buffed it off the ejector rod.

Fits my needs, smaller k/l frame fits my hands better. It works great for Pest control with shotshells & light 44 spl. loads. Great field carry gun, shoots full 44 mag well too!

Excellent fit and finish as expected from S&W. Sights are very nice and very easy to pick up and rear adjustment is also easy. Double action trigger is clean but as you would expect, effort required. In single action the trigger is really smooth with a clean break after very little take up. It is a handful with full 44 mag loads and an easy shooter with 44 spl. Fit and finish are as very good, as I would expect from S&W. The gun has a good comfortable weight and size being on the L frame. Availability is somewhat scarce so I was pleased to be notified by Grab a Gun that is was back in stock. Shipping was fast to my FFL with no issues.

If you make your own loads. Try a 240 grain SWC or RNFP over enough unique or tin star to make 1000 fps. Plenty of power and no wrist wrenching recoil. Any "skeeter skelton" 44 special load would work a well. Great little revolver.

Very likable ease of use, with the power of a canon at hand. Easy to get multiple hits on targe, great sites, and comfortable with one hand shooting.

I have 50 rounds of 44 special and 25 rounds of full house 44 magnum thru it. It’s loud, it’s snappy and it’s a lot of fun. A heavily altered judge leather holster makes it easily concealed. Overall great gun.

Great pistol pistol like it’s size easy to carry. Like shooting 44 specials better than 44 mags. Going to work up some hand loads for some milder rounds for target practice. Could only find one place to buy a holster !

Great feel. Perfect for cc on BLM land. Surprisingly manageable. Love it. FYI pictured is 4” barrel, actual product has 2.75” barrel and looks meaner, giving it the more classic s&w revolver look.

This has been my trail and camp gun for 2 years. It has fired flawlessly for 500+ rounds. I went with a 44 because we live in griz country. It can hand 300 grain, but its pretty wild so I choose to pack 240 special. It gets dirty after just a few rounds. The trigger is phenomenal, definitely the best I've shot on a revolver. The pistol feels like it will last a lifetime.

Light but sturdy, beautiful, and powerful. Great for self defense and carrying. Ya ain't gonna be sniping with a barrel this short. The extractor rod looks a little flimsy but does its job. Oh, and I'd slap on a better grip (I use a thicker one). Shot off around 100 and the recoil sure is prevalent. Overall, I'm in love. Small but mighty. Tldr: Pros - Lightweight - 44 for your pocket - Sturdy Cons - Recoil (but as expeted) - Grip

Awesome Revolver! Just what I was looking for. A lightweight revolver to wear around camp when camping in unimproved camping sites that are remote.

The S&W 69 Combat Magnum was purchased for home protection, but works well as a carry weapon also. It is an attention getter with the .44 mag ammo.

Great revolver right out of the box and groups really well for a short barrel. That being said it's a real handful with full magnum loads. Shooting mainly.44 spcl out of this gun and will be hand loading some milder magnum loads. Less bulk and weight will make this gun ideal for carrying in the back country. Nice size in the L Frame Revolver. Pretty close in size to my 629 Perf. Center in the 2-3/4” barrel. The 5 shot cylinder doesn’t seem as bulky when concealed. Very pleased with my purchase and found dealing with GUNS.COM was quick and easy.

I absolutely love the S&W model 69. 44mag in an L-Frame, who could ask for more. Great size for carry OTB, you can forget it's there till you need it. I like 240 gr. bullets @ 1000 fps, but it is comfortable with full magnums also. This is my go-to woods walking gun. You can carry a bigger, heavier gun if you like.
