I finally got a chance to take the gun out to range. I like the feel of the gun in my hand. It shoots well. The weight of the gun helps to minimize the recoil for a micro-compact pistol. Furthermore, I didn’t have any problems with the trigger. One of the main reasons I purchased the CSX is because it looks like the Star Firestar M-43, the very fi...Read More Read more about review stating A Decent Gun

The feel is great! It’s a very nice weight in the hand. The selection of this gun was perfect for me for concealed carry. The ability to shoot 9 mm makes it a great home defense weapon as well. My wife has no issues firing it either.

I am finding the CSX to be an excellent concealed carry firearm. It’s size and weight work quite well, it feels good in my hand and it has a clip for 12. I have had the firearm for a short time but like it even more each time I use it.

I saw this masterpiece at my local outdoor shop. It’s beautiful well to me it is. At 10 yards slow steady fire I can put 13 shots in a 2 inch square. For me it’s quite good, I believe if you had a randsom rest it just might put them all through the same hole. I use federal 124 grain H S T . Not the +p, just the standard load for self defense. I just purchased this at the gun show on Saturday. I was surprised when I saw it there, as I know this is a pretty new S&W model. I liked that it was not all plastic. My favorite hand gun to shoot is my full size M&P so I am familiar with S&W. I took it to the range on Sunday, and I have to say, I hate the trigger. It is really hard to...Read More Read more about review stating CSX Trigger

Good, but doesn’t live up to hype. Trigger pull is stiff. Unable to locate additional mags or get information on improving sights. On a positive note, the action is considerably easier to pull than other semis I have and shoots quite nicely once you are by the stiff trigger pull. It is going to take a lot of dry firing and range time to acclimate ...Read More Read more about review stating Disappointed but correctable ( mags & sights

Wow is this nice to shoot. The fit and finish are lovely -- feels very high quality with smooth action. Amazingly accurate for its size. The trigger reset is a non-issue for me as I don't ride reset and it's crisp enough to fully release. Double-taps and continued fire are no problem for me. Whoever wrote this article is choking up on the grip way...Read More Read more about review stating Favorite compact by a mile

Right out of the box, I put the smaller backstrap on my csx. It does not lock in place securely. Since I put a sleeve on my grip, this is not a big problem. I also use a "quick draw" clip on a lot of my semi pistols. The slide lock on the right hand side of the slide prevents that. Small issues, but inconvenient. I have not had a chance to shoot t...Read More Read more about review stating Back strap and ambi slide lock

If you currently carry a Shield 9Plus, as I do, you might be tempted to think about moving “up” to the CSX. I certainly was one of those folk but boy that would have been a mistake. Thank God I shot one and am so pleased with my current pistol. If you are looking for a really fine handling concealed carry pistol I’d take a look at the 9 Plus ...Read More Read more about review stating When it’s great don’t change it

I am left- handed and this gun has ambidextrous safeties and is easy to rack. I did not grow up around guns, so I am always a little nervous around them and when I am preparing them to shoot. This gun alleviates a lot of those fears. It is also the perfect size to conceal carry as a woman. I highly recommend it.

The trigger pull is definitely too hard - rated @ 6 pounds. And it is catchy - not an easy smooth pull like the Shield EZ. S&W engineers need to rework their design/specs on this.

Nice, but needs larger safety lever. Extending out farther would not significantly alter concealability but improve "feel" or surety of safety position.

The gun has a lot of good things for a carry or defense pistol. The one thing I can't stand is the trigger. It's gritty, and hurts after a while of practice and the trigger safety seems unreliable to me. Not comfortable to shoot.

Good looking pistol, fits well in my hand. Definitely concealable with plenty of rounds. But the trigger pull and trigger reset is not what I would expect from a 1911 style pistol. Mine is for sale.

Very nice micro pistol for concealed carry. When I took it to the range , I found the grip to be a little slippery even with the stippling. So I added a rubber Hogue grip and it added just the right tackiness I needed to have a good "hold" on the pistol , and it also improved my accuracy...

Awesome new all-metal pistol from S&W. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. Smooth action, good trigger, shoots reliably with all types of ammo, very accurate at self-defense distances, decent factory sights. Recoil very manageable. It eats 115 ands 124 gr FMJ and JHP of all brands I tried without any FTE or FTF problems. Didn’t need a lot of break-in as most metal guns these days do. I carry it in a Vedder IWB. Comfortable and concealed.

Excellent service and quick shipment I love the pistol. I had one small issue and as usual, S&W handled the problem immediately.

This gun is really well-thought and a perfect low-profile carry. Shoots very accurately for a small gun. Easy to shoot. No jamming going on. It would have been nice to skip the punch required to strip it, but that's a small issue for me. This is an amazing piece. I also must say, this company is always prompt and efficient. A pleasure to deal with.
