2 years agonot an expert but very impressed, noticed the obvious weight difference, seemed a little heavy but what a nice shooting gun, has a pretty nice trigger, better than my 15 came with, smooth operation so far, ran 20 rounds through. nice gun for the price

2 years agoI havent had time to take it to the range as of yet but I am looking forward to it very much. I am pleased with the overall customer service at grab a gun. they kept me in the loop at every stage. my weapon shipped quickly and im deffinitely happy with the product

1 year agoI have not had the opportunity to shoot the AR-10 yet. I will say that buying from a retail store might be a better option as the retail store will help you get the gun unloaded from the box and set up operational. Shipping to a individual FFA dealer all I got was a box with the AR-10, no set up help at all. As a newbie to this I can always use help.

1 year agoSold my M1A and purchased the S&W M&P-10 two years ago and never looked back. Still very happy that I made the switch. Being a lefty, I love the ambi safety on the S&W M&P-10...and it Is much quieter than the safety was on my M1A also. Many more magazine/capacity options and availability also. You wont regret buying this rifle!

1 year agoFun at the range. Accurate gun. Used a magpul handle with oil bottle and a magpul sling. Bought 2 25 round mags for the range and 2 10 round mags for hunting

1 year agoI definitely recommend buying this rifle. I changed out the shoulder stock for a more substantial one with a recoil pad from Adaptive Tactical, and installed a 3 pound Velocity trigger. I shoot 1 MOA at 100 yds. with factory ammo. This is my second Smith&Wesson AR. Great rifle. Anthony M.

1 year agostock had scuffs and scratches from factory, if i buy new rifle i want to be the one that scratches it

1 year agoVery limited aftermarket options for this model. Since just about every specification is proprietary, S&W should have gone ambi all the way and done it with the charging handle as well. So far I can’t complain about its accuracy, time will tell. I read about how that performance degrades if the barrel is overheated.

1 year agoThis is a product review not a store review. Last year I purchased an M&P 15 which I love! So I figure I can't loose with an M&P 10 right? Well... The M&P 10 is advertised as having the same coating as the 15 but it's much different on mine. The coating on my 15 is excellent smooth and has a slight sheen to it. The M&P 10 seems more like just a cheap parkerization. Dull and definitely not the same as the M&P15. All the controls on this rifle fit tight and are stiff. They do not work

1 year agoIt is a pretty basic rifle, I definitely recommend changing out the trigger. Has functioned flawlessly though, and I’ve ran some pretty cheap ammo through it to test it out

1 year agoThis is an excellent buy and a fine shooting instrument! Well constructed and handles 308 and 7.625 NATO ammo with no issues. I do have a major bias and inclination to purchase and prefer Smith & Wesson equipment, but that has no bearing on my rating with the exception of motivating me to make the purchase; my performance and characteristics ratings are product specific.

1 year agoAdded a Vortex Scope to this, what a combination. This is an extremely accurate rifle. Everything works well on this rifle. Cycling is excellent with all different loads. I have had no issues, very happy with this purchase!

1 year agoI have been a S&W guy all my life so this purchase was just another sweet gun to my collection. Put Vortex Strike Eagle1x8 w/QR mount also very sweet. Zeroed at 100 yards, covered 3 shots with a quarter. Ringing a 20 inch steel gong at 500 yards. So I am very happy that my new toy zings those bullets right on target. It is a wee bit loud so maybe a Dead Air Sandman is in our future. I did not experience the problems listed with Vortex Strike Eagle on 7 & 8 power as did some other folks, so I was

1 year agoVery nice AR10, own a M&P AR15 and this does very well as expected for the brand. I put a BSA Scope on it with .308 and .223 turrets and was shooting three inch groups at 100 yards after six rounds at 25.

1 year agoFun rifle to shoot , so far has shot several different ammunition no problems. Am trying different ammunition but will easily shoot 2 inch groups @ 100 yards . Recoil is light , 147 & 180 grain bullets do make difference .

1 year agoMost important feature: this three oh hate functioned flawlessly right out of the box. I did take the time to clean and oil it before use, however. This is a bog-standard weapon. That's what I wanted. No regrets on my purchase. The breakdown for cleaning is so easy that a 5yo could master it in 10 minutes.

1 year agoExcellent firearm, this is one way to get into the AR308 world, very unique, I would highly recommend this beautiful firearm to family and friends, great price, great quality, changed out furniture to magpul, magpul product that I bought from Sportsman warehouse, thank you for the great customer service, I well continue to be a loyal shopper

1 year agoAs stated it is optics ready so I haven’t had the opportunity to fire it yet although I did buy some iron sights from my FFL dealer but I haven’t had a chance to get them put on yet. But as I was setting here watching Tucker Carlson I decided to check out some scopes and ended up buying one and can’t hardly wait to get it installed and sighted in ...Read More Read more about review stating Optics ready

1 year agoThe charging handle\bolt operation is very stiff. Hopefully this will change with use. I like the hand guard because it has a front-end sling attachment like the M16 I had in the Army, allowing for what my DS called the "hasty sling" wraparound support method. Fold-down iron sights installed easily, and it's pretty comfortable. Looking...Read More Read more about review stating Good but stiff
