2 years agoI like the way the stainless and the wood grips look. The unfluted cylinder adds a nice touch. A good fit and finish for a S&W Performance Center model. The trigger is smooth and gun is accurate on point of aim point of contact and with the correct rig this revolver can be a good CCW. Also a good backpacking gun with 240 grain 44 mag and you can shoot 44 special all day. I would recommend this model..

2 years agoA blast to shoot! Accurate too! Recoil isn’t that bad thought it would be worse. CAUTION WEAR GOOD HEARING PROTECTION!! It will damage your hearing. Grips suck replaced with a good g10.

1 year agoLove this think, although with the wood grips and full power loads it is a DESTROYER of my thumb. Put on a set of hogue grips and it is pleasant to shoot 100 or so rounds a session.

1 year agoThe gun shoots beautifully. Hard on the hand with the wood grips. Recommend upgrade. I am not happy with the finish. After 50 rounds the cylinder has powder marks which will only come off if polished.

1 year agoGreat firearm. Great price. Super fast shipping. Highly recommend Grabagun. s&W performance center stuff never disappoints. a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. and grabagun's price on this particular gun was the best i could find – anywhere.

1 year agoLOve mine! I bought it as a training weapon...figured if I can master this then it will improve shooting with all my other handguns. It worked....Get even decent with this and you'll see your accuracy improve. Swapped out the handle so it's a lot more comfortable. Thinking of buying another.

1 year agoLooks and feels good in hand. Good accuracy and easy to manage with replacement grips. Ammo is very hard to find. Cylinder burn is very difficult to clean in front. Overall, very happy with it! My personal carry.

1 year agoLooks good and appears well constructed. Still attempting to find an ideal holster. Looking forward to daily carry. Recommend it as well as the 5 round version.

1 year agoFantastic Handgun, I added a Hogue grip and it gave the grip an extra finger and reduced the recoil. I like the cylinder lock for safety and just ordered a second 629 in the exact same gun.

1 year agoThe Smith and Wesson 629 Performance Center Revolver is a great addition to my collection of snubbies! I immediately changed the wood boot grips for some recoil-absorbing Pachmayr grips. The wood grips look great, but I wanted a little more control and a more manageable BOOM! I took the 629 PC to the range last weekend and it shot like a dream. Great accuracy for a snubby. And the PC tuned action was outstanding in both single and double action. Highly recommended.

1 year agoGreat gun, great quality trigger of PC. I recommend changing the wood grips to the X frame Hogue grips that cover the backstrap, it helps taking the sting out of shooting heavier loads. The recoil is heavy as expected , but the right Hogue grip makes it much easier to shoot. I bought it to replace my S&W 500, I live in Montana and this is a great woods carry gun for bear defense. Sportmans was great in shipping the gun to my local store , and they had some ammo as well.

1 year agoShort barrel is easy to conceal but the gun is not thin. Need extra firm grip as the short barrel does not help much with recoil. nice looking gun with many holster options. Just what I needed for daily carry. Impressive stopping power and intimidation. Not for the limp wristed. Rubber grip and padded shooting gloves help if you need it. Be sure to put in some quality range time with this one. Not quite the kick of a 500 S&W Revolver with longer barrel but close.

1 year agoThis is a very well made revolver. The finish is incredible, very smooth and well rounded in the right areas. Sights are great IMO- and the single action break is extremely crisp. This is an heirloom quality piece you will never let go of.

1 year agoIt’s designed to be hidden , until needed… a day you hope never comes but a moment you try to prepare for. Yes the grips maybe a little small for people with larger hands…You can purchase larger grips at the risk of printing through your clothing. The revolver fires well ( I shoot the lighter load 44 magnum Underwood XTREME Hunter & Defender) ...Read More Read more about review stating Pocket protector

1 year agoAfter buying it, now I understand why its Mike's sidearm of choice in Better Call Saul. Its not often a handgun is equally appropriate for home defense, Griz defense, and concealed carry. 1 year agoI don't know why Smith&Wesson discontinued this... other than it wasn't given the attention it deserves. I got lucky and got what is probably one of the last (if not THE last) one of these NIB on the market this this website. At 25yds, I get groups under an inch. At 50yds I get just under 2 inch groups. That is with underwood xtreme hunte...Read More Read more about review stating Best hog hunting revolver ever made!!
