DARRIC
2 years agoI picked mine up about 4 years ago. Had a couple stovepipes in the first 200 rounds. And one double feed. Pretty sure the double feed was operator error. Cleaned it, polished the feed ram and have had no problems with it since. At about 1000 rounds at the moment and it is still in great shape. Trigger is heavy and takes practice to keep it from dragging right. You can get a lighter trigger and upgrades, if you would like, but it is fine the way it is. It was my edc for 2 years.

2 years agoGreat gun for the price! I've had mine 2 years. put close to 3000 rounds through it. trigger isn't the greatest but I put an after market one in and it was a great improvement. dropped the pull by 2 pounds.

1 year agoI purchased my SD40VE back in Spring of 2013. When I first took it out to the range I only had 3 failure to feed issues with 100 rounds fired which I was not concerned with as I knew it was part of the break in process. Since I have owned the SD40VE I have put over 1500 rounds through the pistol. I have never thoroughly cleaned the pistol. I have only taken apart the slide and barrel and cleaned those portions. I have never had any issues with the pistol since the break in period. *This

1 year agoPros 14 rounds and as light as the cc I carry that only holds 8 and disassembley is a breeze. Cons dislike the grip the spikes dig into the palm when firing triggers is stiff most likely a good thing seeing it has no safety.
OLD GUARD ASP#5
1 year agoUPDATE From 2/22/2020 By PRISONGUARD1. This new one is much better NIB than older one was. When I started my DROS I put a Pachmyer Grip Sleeve on it, then it was placed in Solitary Confinement for 10 days, Retired Peace Officers have to wait also. The day I picked it up my FFL gave me some Tulammo 9mm silver tip ammo, this will play in later. I went from gun shop to sportsman's club I work at. I picked out a bad guy target from our little store, and proceeded to the 25 yard walk-up

1 year agoI love it!!! My previous handgun was also a 40 caliber, put this one feels more balanced. It didn’t take long for me to get on the range and feel acclimated with it. It arrived quickly and the exchange process took less than 30 minutes. Enjoyable process from beginning to end and I love the firearm I received. I look forward to ordering more in the future.

1 year agoGreat gun for my wife. Now she has a gun that she is comfortable with, to protect herself at home or out in town without having to use my guns in which she is not comfortable using yet.

1 year agoWell, I am pleasantly surprised. I purchased the S&W as a back up piece just an extra to have on hand. However, it very quickly became my new favorite. It feel good in my hand, not a lot of recoil, easy on the wrist and the site works for me, with or without my contacts.

1 year agoOverall a fine looking and feeling gun, but I had serious trouble getting it to cycle consistently. Tried different ammo, different mags, had the feed ramp polished, but to no avail. Would not recommend this one. Really disappointed in this S&W.

1 year agoExcellent weapon for the price. Make sure you ask if the magazines come with it, ordered the with 14 round mags my states only allows 10 rd mags. But local dealers can legally block out to 10.

1 year agoThis is my first gun purchase so I have nothing to compare it with, but In my opinion the quality is there for what I paid! Still waiting to go to the range with it and I will update my review when I do so

1 year agoI have one of the early production runs of this handgun. (Yea they had some issues) It needed some ramp polishing and trigger massaging work and I added textured grips to make it a good reliable shooter. (But, thta's just me, I can't run anything STOCK out of the box) It is my favorite EDC firearm. I installed a Crimson Trace lazer on it to make it a great and accurate dependable tool. Looking at buying this latest version to see if it is as good as the one I have, and made into a fun shooter that rivals my Son In Laws Glock at the Range.

1 year agoIt’s nice in the hand and hasn’t jammed on my yet so that’s nice but it’s not accurate past 10 to 15 yards it hits down and to the right, but other than that it’s not a bad gun and I’m satisfied with my purchase

1 year agoHad mine since 2007. Lost count of how many rounds I've fired, but never had a malfunction of any kind. It's more accurate than I am. Picked up an extra mag at Midway on sale. It was my CC up until 2020 when I got a P365. Still my home defense pistol and back up CC. Reassembly can be tricky.
