I bought the 9mm version because it was actually 249 with the discounts and I paid 50 bucks for it after my gift cards.I did get a trigger new springs, magazine release and ameriglo combo fiber optic and tritium sights. I don't remember when I bought it but it was when they first came out. I have put thousands of rounds through this guy and only had 1 or 2 malfunctions but I changed my magazine and never had another issue in at least another 3,000 rounds. In fact, the only reason I updated the gun is because the parts where given to me for free.. I think the gin is ugly but I would put it up against a Glock 19 of any generation. Now with the upgrades I shoot it better than my tricked out G-19. If you're looking for a carry gun or a truck gun pick it up without hesitation. It's great for first time buyers and so far seem to be a lifetime gun. Time will tell as I put it to the longevity test against my Sigs, H&K's, Glocks. Buy it but it buy it!

Hey there. Bought this one in 9mm in march, have shot a little over 1,200 rounds & NOT A SINGLE JAM or Misfire. Feels very tough when firing due to the slide being all metal, I think that helps with the balance of it all. Would recommend

For my hands the grip and feel are great. The white dot site is of great help in proper site alignment.

It jammed on the very first shot (figures) but since then it’s been perfect (about 400 rounds fired so far). Good CCW pistol in my opinion.

I like it just fine. I have cycled through with some snap caps and ordered some upgrades for it. Seems like we'll enjoy it at the range.

Great purchase. Grab a gun excellent & knowledgeable customer interaction. I bought 2 more firearms here since this one. S&w Quality firearm. Fun to shoot. Nice balance, not too heavy for c.c., MINE IS FOR HOME SECURITY. Fde/Black looks really nice. . Very Easy to DISASSEMBLE for cleaning. Magazine CAPACITY says 16 - good luck with that! Comes w 2 mags (nice) & I bought a 3rd, i think I managed to get 16 in a mag once. 15 CAPACITY is fine. Right out of the box to the range, ran 200+ rounds, … Read More

Great buy for utility defense gun the whole FAMILY can shoot with ease. It shoots many types of ammo with no fails. Good solid gun for defense and range fire. Thank you grabagun.cOm for the deal.

Fit/finish is quite good...trigger is bit rough at first but not too terrible..longer take up/reset than a glock..it's also more forgiving under stress...S&W sells a lot of these budget sd9's...for the money you could do far worse

I am no professional arms critic, let me make that clear, but before I bought this handgun, my only other was a Ruger Single six. Now, in comparison, this gun has a number of advantages, including dot sights, a larger calibre, and obviously, a different action and capacity for ammunition. That said, let’s begin. This pistol is marketed as holding 16+1, but if you can get that 16th round in there, I don’t even want to shake your hand for fear of you crushing mine, because you’d be Herculean. This

Great beginner gun for 9mm. Feels pretty good in the hands and balanced weight to it. The finish is not extremely durable. About 100 rounds through this and the slide release finish is very worn. The front of the slide around the barrel has some discoloration. The polymer frame feels very cheap and you can see this inside when field stripping. But this is to be expected for the price. First couple magazines ejected some casings at my face which is odd, so just be aware. Seemed to improve after

For $350 this is a great gun. Spent a few more bucks to add Talon grips, a steel guide rod and better sights. Total spent is still under $500. Feels great and is supprisingly accurate. I read alot of people replaced the trigger but after shooting a couple hundred rounds I have to say it's fine as is. Good deal on a quality Smith & Wesson product.

Love the color and looks of gun... Not just the basic black or chrome color. Fits nice in your hand and not heavy to carry around....

A better version of the SD9VE. The parts interchange and will give you that G-gun look but you get two S&W's for the price of one G-gun. Reliability has been 100% from break-in. For those that don't like the trigger on this model, put about 300 rounds through, or 300 dry fires and slide works, and you will change your mind. Think of it as a double-action revolver trigger and it's not a problem. This gun is tough, reliable, and Made In The USA. Smith and Wesson has been the working man's gun maker for 165 years and still makes a great firearm at an affordable price.

I have had this exact same pistol for several years now and it is excellent. Never had had a malfunction of any kind, shoots accurate and looks great. Take down for cleanings is simple. The trigger will smooth out after some shooting and it is a “self defense” trigger, so that you have a much less chance of an accidental discharge in a very high stress situation like the one you will experience in a self defense situation. This is something that you should consider. It’s not a light target
