Smith & Wesson SW1911 E Series .45 ACP Pistol 5", SS – 108482

My first .45, after many YouTube videos and talking to .45 owners i decided that this was the one. I didn't want to put the money into a colt, and with smith and Wesson's reputation, i figured this was a winner, and I was not disappointed at all. The weight of it takes some getting used to if you plan on carrying it, the trigger is absolutely superb. I picked up mine for like $750, and couldn't be happier. I have since bought a kimber .45 also, and I swear the Smith's trigger is nicer!

beatiful classic 1911. I load just 7 rounds, because 8 rounds in a mag is almost impossibile to push it in. otherwise, awesome gun.

Gorgeous & accurate! I have one Negative thing to say and that is when I picked it up from my FFL it had a scratch on the slide :-( bummer because if there is going to be a scratch in my firearms I wanna put them there. Now that that’s out of the way! Trigger feels great & ran flawlessly with the first 100 rounds… at 10 yards my wife and I were quite surprised at how accurate and the smooth shooting ✨???????? First hammer fired

looks and fills great. this is a gun that i have always wanted and i bought it b/c it was on sale a little cheaper than what i saw it listed for in the past.

Got it quickly. THE ACTION WAS EXTREMELY STIFF even after firing 50 rounds. Right now it is with my gunsmith who will smooth things out and reduce the 9 pound pull i encountered. on another note the appearance is quite nice with the contrasting extractor, magazine release, and grip safety. I will also have fiber optic sights installed.

I like this gun. I wish it had fiber optic sights and a fully adjustable rear sight. The gun shoots consistently. I adjust the sights on my guns, but have not had to adjust the sights on this gun. My only complaint is that i am not able to find rear fully adjustable Fiber optic sights for this gun.

BEAUTIFUL and great shooting firearm. I had a dud magazine shipped with mine but sw replaced it with a new one.

A CLASSIC. In my humble opinion, one of the finest handguns ever made. With the fish scale slide cuts, the beautiful wood grips, the unmatched reliability of Smith & wesson. After experience with multiple manufacturers 1911s I settled on the E-Series and could not be happier. The only Edition it needs are fiber optic front sights.

I have owned one of these for three years and it is a great gun. I usually use Ruger mags with it because anything else usually causes malfunctions, or at least the mags that it comes with. With my Ruger mags this thing is 100% with hundreds of rounds over the years. I have shot all kinds of hollow points, fmjs, and +p ammo and it takes it all and puts it right where I put the front sight. Awesome trigger, fit, and finish.

Great looking and feeling 1911. Dropped in a 19 lb main spring and light sear spring which reduced the out of the box trigger pull from 5.5 lbs to 3.5 lbs, with an absolutely clean break. I can shoot a ragged sub 2” hole at 10 yds, and consistently hit 10” steel at 25 yds. I’ve had several 1911’s, IMO this is the best 1911 for the money out there, and it’s a S&W!

After researching a bunch of 1911s, I decided to go with this S&W and I am not let down. For a mid-priced 1911, its a great value. Very beautiful, 8+1 round capacity which is low vs most modern pistols but in a restricted state like mine it makes plenty of sense because its nearly at the limit but with more power. Shoots flawlessly out of the box. It almost looks nickle plated in the detail page but its shiny in real life.

did not take very long to find the sighting. although i have experience, the gun is stupid accurate. if you miss with this gun it is human error.

When my new S&W 1911 arrived at the gun shop I was like a kid on Christmas Day. I just couldn't get there fast enough. Just a beautiful gun. Haven't shot it yet because I just received it yesterday but it's a 1911 do I need to say any more. Can't wait to take it to the range.

I love this gun, the only problem is that the slide is to hard to pull to chamber a round, maybe I am getting to old(80) and don’t have the strength I use to have But I am not going to use my gun for competition, only for home protection, so I don’t have the need to use the slide too much.
