Speer 9mm+P 124gr Gold Dot Ammunition 20rds – 23617

If you do any research on the internet of expansion and penetration tests, the Gold Dot +P is always at the top. I have had a little bit of trouble finding it, (could find Gold Dot but not the +P) and was pleased when Palmetto had it on special. I hope I never have to use it for what it is designed for.

I have always been a little concerned that my 9mm Ruger pocket pistol just does not have the punch with the little short barrel. Picked up a couple boxes of Gold Dot 124 +P and definitely more power. Not sure I would want to shoot +P+ in that little gun, but it handles the +P just fine and at least on a full milk jug is a whole lot more destructive. Too costly for target practice but sure adds confidence to a mouse gun.

After trying and researching self defense rounds, I settled on the Speer 9mm +p 124 gr Gold Dot. Very good expansion, very consistent performance, and good penetration out of compact-length barrels. I have had no operational or accuracy issues in well over 1,000 rounds through my Walther PPQ Q4TAC, CZ P07, and Sphinx SDP and my wife’s Glock 26. My son has reported no issues through his wife’s S&W Shield after 100 rounds.
