Springfield 1911 Emissary 4.25" .45 ACP Pistol, Stainless/Black – PX9218L

.45 was so nice in hand, went out and pIcked it up in 9mm too. Amazing build by Springfield, they hit a homerun with the Emissary…. Probably my most favoriTe 1911’s to date, and thats over my Dan Wessons, and even my Wilson combats…. Thats saying alot.

I just picked this super bad boy up yesterday and it feels solid and super great. I couldn't give it 5 stars yet since it has not seen the range just yet. So far, super impressed

This is an excellent pistol. It is extremely accurate and because of its weight recoil is very manageable. Having a smaller hand I love the narrow grips along with their texture. Man what a great gun. I bought this to replace a 45 xds, wow. It's a whole lot of gun. This sucker is pretty heavy fully loaded but the weight def absorbs some of the recoil making it a much much more accurate, stable weapon than the 3.3 inch barrel xds. I'm in love Springfield, you've done an amazing job on this one.

Deadly accurate even as a novice shooter. Was weary of the trigger but performance was surprising at the range. Would prefer metal to avoid scratching, marring but again what do I know. Feels more controllable in .45 than all my 9mm. Stylish. Had one malfunction with cheap ammo also could be my fault. Comfortable, accurate, quality.

My only gripe with mine is that the magazine release was incredibly stiff when I first got it but it has gotten better over the course of 500 rounds. No malfunctions
