Springfield 1911 Emissary 5" 9mm Pistol, Stainless/Black – PX9219L

I loved the u notch rear sight with the tri-top cut slide with flattened and serrated top strap for light diffusion. Front sight is a night sight which is a plus. Skeletonized hammer with solid face trigger. Serrations on the slide help with cocking.

Little on the heavy side but that’s what makes recoil almost nothing, gripes look a little aggressive but when you handle it just fits. Nice trigger for a 1911 and very accurate. Only problem with this pistol is take plenty of ammo with you because this pistol is fun to shoot.

Shot great right out of the box. Shot over 100 rounds at the range very accurate even better then my 40 Sig. Shot different brands no problem. Very happy with purchase and GUNS.COM

This is an excellent pistol. It is extremely accurate and because of its weight recoil is very manageable. Having a smaller hand I love the narrow grips along with their texture. Man what a great gun. I bought this to replace a 45 xds, wow. It's a whole lot of gun. This sucker is pretty heavy fully loaded but the weight def absorbs some of the recoil making it a much much more accurate, stable weapon than the 3.3 inch barrel xds. I'm in love Springfield, you've done an amazing job on this one.

Deadly accurate even as a novice shooter. Was weary of the trigger but performance was surprising at the range. Would prefer metal to avoid scratching, marring but again what do I know. Feels more controllable in .45 than all my 9mm. Stylish. Had one malfunction with cheap ammo also could be my fault. Comfortable, accurate, quality.

My only gripe with mine is that the magazine release was incredibly stiff when I first got it but it has gotten better over the course of 500 rounds. No malfunctions

The Springfield 1911 Emissary 5” 9mm is a custom 1911 being mass produced for a fair price. My only issues with this handgun is the use of a polymer for the trigger and grip safety rather than aluminum or titanium. A pistol this classy needed to be fully completed. Other than those small issues it operates flawlessly using several inexpensive 115 gr. target loads. With the squared off trigger guard you need a custom holster as not many options are available yet. I purchased the Mitch Rosen

It is very difficult to get a quality 9MM 1911 at a reasonable price. In my opinion this is a quality 9MM 1911 at a reasonable price. Its performance is fantastic with no issues.

This weapon is very pleasing to look at. It really grows on you. My girlfriend says it looks like one of those “Star Wars” guns… Lol. It is actually quite cool looking no doubt. As for the gun itself, it’s accurate. Very. It’s heavy but in a good way. When you run out of ammo it becomes a hammer. Nice balance in hand making the weight less noticeable. Overall a fine weapon but has a very hard slide pull and no notches up front. Oh and yes you can load 8 in the mag just be careful of the ammo
