i bought this shotgun about 10 months ago and have put over 1000 shells through it, buckshot, slugs, steel, and target loads, without a single issue. I couldn't be happier with this gun and would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid gun for a good price.

I bought this gun about a month ago and have had it out a few times with the 28" barrel. Works great. Kicks like a shotgun nothing out of the ordinary. Don't be shy pumping this action.

Put 50 rounds through it this morning, never had a problem. Thinking of getting another when still on sale.

Broke after 6 shots. The forearm broke loose from the action (cheap spot welds). Returned it manufacturer on warranty and they sent it back "fixed" and it broke the same way but after only 5 shots this time. Will not buy one of these again.

I have the waterfowl model. Chinese copy of a Winchester 1300. Quick, easy clean out of the box and performs like a champ. Some metal filings on the bolt from new so a clean was a must. Picked up some Win chokes and love the fiber optic bead. It ate every thing I could throw at it with no issues.

I purchased this recently and noticed that the 28" barrel uses thread in chokes. I went into the store to find some other chokes and the sales person was unsure which choke was correct. He pulled a new gun off the shelf and pulled the choke so we could match it. Turns out that Mossberg 500 chokes fit correctly. I thought I'd post this as I could not find choke type listed anywhere.

Bought this gun 3 years ago, use it all the time for bird hunting, points and shoots good. All in all great gun for the price.

Bought for waterfowl hunting and the darn thing rusts if you look at it the wrong way. Shoots ok but jammed 3 times on the 5th time I used it. Might have been the shells which were Kent faststeel. It's heavy on the fore-end also. Overall, the gun would be a 4 out of 5 if the barrel didn't rust so quickly or it was all camo, but if I had to do it over again I would just save the money and go for a Benelli.

Bought this because Cabela's was out of stock of on-sale 3" black SXP. I'm not sorry. While I'm sure the Winchester SXP is a great shotgun, this product - not on sale - match the best sale price plus rebate of the SXP, looks great, feels solid (including when you cycle the action), and cycles so easily. Added quickly as a field favorite in my family, and good on the range too. 1 lbs less than our Benelli Super Nova, and honestly - for the cost - possibly even better value.

I ended up getting this after returning my Maverick 88 due to misfires and this has been much better. Mine has worked well for two years. It does have some trouble ejecting the odd shell when it is cold out (between -20 and -30 Celsius) but that is understandable. No misfires, jams or any other issues.

Why this may not be the smoothest cycling pump on the market it is well worth the price. Few 100 shells through it with no hiccups. can accurately blow apart a clay mounted at 25yds with either slugs or buckshot. I've had mine for about 3 years and see no reason to upgrade it to something more pricey that will not do anything significantly better.

Bought this today, been doing some research with this vs the Maverick 88 and I ended up going with the Stevens just because of the price ~240 after discounts and rebates. Overall the action slides well, a little unhappy the rails on the barrel aren't perfectly symmetrical on either side (small issue but oh well). My biggest complaint was that there was already signs of rust on all the welded parts of the gun, I did buy the floor model since it was the last one in stock but I was still very upset to see rust already. The scratches I assume were from people improperly assembling the gun in the store since it was the floor model. I'm excited to take this gun out duck hunting, going to be my first time this season (2019). I sent a message in to Savage about the rusted barrel and will see what they have to say about it. I will update when I hear back.

It does the job very well, with no jamming issues at all. I wished that Savage would add more accessories to this model

After only a year the barrel started rusting on the outside. No big deal I thought. Then the ghost ring was bent during storage. Okay? Maybe superficial stuff. Then I tried cycling ammo, it would double-feed almost every time I would cycle the action. It was scary and I realized I only had one shot in the chamber in a real life situation. I finally fixed it after five years (took many hours of time and patience) and used it to qualify for the license. It worked okay. Then a couple years roll around again and it JAMS on the last round (FTE). A total of 12 rounds went through this thing in its lifetime and it jammed so badly, it took violent force by the range officer to clear by slamming it on the bench (I couldn't clear it). Afterwards, I cleaned it THOROUGHLY and then everytime I ran WD40 through the barrel, THICK RUST was coming out. I realized the barrel has rusted after only 6 rounds, causing rounds to get GLUED inside the chamber. Beware, if you are security, law enforcement, or using this weapon for personal defense. You are potentially risking your life.

Approx 400 rounds through this shotgun now. Zero issues. Cycles every time, goes bang every time. Great value, especially on sale prices

Bought it about 9 months ago, took it out to test it. The action was a bit stiff for the first 100 shots or so, fully cleaned it, it got better. It would sometimes spit out a live shell, but I figured that was more me than the gun. Its really great now, eats non-stop with no malfunctions. Would recommend to anyone wanting a cheap entry level security shotgun.

The build quality is not what it could be. I own American Tactical, TriStar and Charles Daly shotguns that look and feel like better guns. And I paid the same or in some cases less that this Savage Stevens shotgun. I haven’t taken it out yet because I am hoping running more dummy rounds through it will loosen the action. Oddly the barrel and magazine tube look angled to one another even thought the barrel is seated fully rearward. We’ll see how it wears or if it’ll sit in the closet collecting dust. For the money maybe look at other options when they go on sale.

Good enough for the job it is intended for, which is home defense. Fit and finish are surprisingly good for the price. The stock could use an upgrade, it seems kind of hollow. I'm going to shoot it as soon as the weather breaks.

People call this shotgun a Mossberg or Remington clone but it's actually based on a Winchester 1300. Too many people see a cheap price and immediately assume junk when it comes to firearms and that might be true for some guns but not this one! I've Owned my 320 since 2015 and I can't begin to make an estimate on how many rounds I've put through it but I can tell you that not one single time has this shotgun failed to fire, feed, or extract! I also installed a +3rd tube extension

Great shotgun for the price. I’ve put a little over 100 rounds through it and no major or minor “snags”. Shoots nice and smooth. Ghost ring sight is also nice on it. Definitely recommend ????????
